I certainly believe you are right that they are employed by the league. But why would it be a conflict of interest if they were team-employed? They don't judge anything. All they do is let the player know that the penalty is about to expire and open the door.
It’s the entire off-ice crew, not just the guys in the penalty box. Whoever signs your paycheck tends to tell you what to do. That’s why it’s a conflict.

All very good points.. That's true. We were hoping that Vegas would claim him.. He looks like a completely different player And he looks very happy. I always have loved brown. I'm Very happy to see him performing so well

I gotta agree. I don't like the way DL/Sutter handled it, but he should have a letter.


But, he does look extremly happy and smiling so much more than under Sutter. He seems content.

Hard to say if it was the C or Sutter that was dragging him down. Maybe both.

It's hard to say which it was probably both but just my gut is telling me it was maybe more of Sutter. Regardless, I'm happy to see him having fun on the ice again.
