You’re too sensitive. Everyone is just stoked to see them in the POs again hopefully. It’s been over 10 years since the team has made it in consecutive years. The Kings winning helps that become even closer to a reality.

The Kings have cups. The Avs are just happy to make the dance.

You know, that's a good point. I forgot that you guys went through a lot of rough years in the past decade. Maybe it's because growing up the Kings always got torched by the Avs and I watched you guys win a few cups with many HOFers, so I was definitely jealous. It's how I felt about the Red Wings too, but the cool thing is we can both mutually agree that we hate that team with a passion. Good luck in the playoffs, just please let us have Hughes. ;)

They're exactly where they were before the game started. They were 30th then, and they're still 30th after the win. They were 30th(31st in points%) when the fired Stevens. The only reason they're not last is because Ottawa, who was predicted to be terrible this year, has been 10 points worse than the Kings since WD got hired. It's not easy to be worse than the 18-19 Senators. In the last 10 years, this year's Ottawa team is currently the 10th worst. 3 of the 9 teams below them were from 14-15, the McDavid year, and Buffalo, Arizona, and Edmonton all contributed to the reason why there's a lottery for 3 picks. 3 of the teams below Ottawa are Buffalo teams. 3 of the teams below Ottawa are Edmonton teams. It's just not easy being that bad. Unfortunately the Kings did a good thing and developed a goalie from the dead, and they kind of have to play him sometimes.

All these tanking nightmares are coming back to haunt me...a flashback to just getting a 60 inch screen and watching TB lose late in a game, 11 freaking years ago this week -
and giving them Stamkos...I probably lost 3 years life expectancy watching that one....but at least there was Doughty to the Kings.
If the Kings lose out on Hughes and Kakko...it drops off. Shttt. if the Kings end up with Turcotte, Cozens, or Byram, they are required
to be as good as Hughes and Kakko now. Cuz the Kings are screwing this up.

We argued this for weeks, do you really think DL was going to take a forward, even a very talented one , instead of and elite dman, when he had already inherited his 1st line center , would have been very much out of character . We “lost” that coin flip and it was the best thing to happen to us this will work out too and at the very least we can stop living this nightmare season and this time next week we will know where we pick
 
I passed out in the second period, before all the goals were scored. Real tough to feel unhappy about the useless points and happy for Clifford and Campbell.

This really is looking like a nightmare scenario where the Kings fall out of a top 3 pick due to winning games down the stretch. The games against the Ducks and Vegas are going to be winnable.

They are back to back, so I’m guessing they either play Quick in both or Campbell in Anaheim and Quick at home for the final game. Willie really needs to step up here and manufacture some friggin losses.

We just need Buffalo to win 1 game and a bottom 3 finish will be secured.

They could have 2 wins all year and fall out of the top 3.

You guys deserve Hughes after last night. I hope we both end up in the top two, would make a great storyline for our outdoor game next year.
