2nd in GA, but dead last in xGA60 which is a far better measure of defensive proficiency and also more predictive than raw goal totals.

I'm not saying that it can't improve, and that's its phenomenal. I'm saying it's working whatever it is, and it hasn't stopped us from winning. If they can clean it up and be tighter that'd be great, but let's not act like we've been getting mowed down
 
sometimes i wonder how someone can claim "EXPECTED goals against per 60" based off a sample size of 7 games is a better measure of anything other than stats wankery

It's the p***yfication of today's NHL. Clean friggin' hit and then someone jumps in to try and go after the guy that delivered the hit.

Dowd caught Moore with his head down. Beauty of a hit.

Me either he started off really well this season and he was playing a lot more conservative and more technical. And I've noticed the last few games he's been flailing again and over extending.

i think he went for that "high kick" save but was too deep against the post and got stuck

would much rather see him just hug the post rvh like he's so good at
 
I hate this commentary. Not sure if I'm getting the same guys you are, here in the U.K., but they are clearly Leafs guys.
 
Looking like last year, goal given up on first or second shot every game. At least tonight only 1 goal given up in the first two shots.
