It will be interesting to see what team shows up tomorrow. The Kings, after getting smoked tonight have to get on a plane and go face a team that basically needs the game tomorrow if they want to even have any hope of a wildcard spot. You couldn't find a tale of two teams going in exactly the opposite direction.

Quick is 55th out of 56 goalies in the league in save pct. Campbell is 3rd.

Can't even imagine aaaany team worst then us.... but there is. Just Brutal.
Over each of their last 5, they've had the same amount of good starts. 2. Quick has had almost double the starts. Who knows if Campbell's stats hold up under a full work load. We'll probably find out next season.

No!! Quick battles, Quick competes. Quick is a pro's pro. Quick has led the Kings to 2 Stanley Cups. Game 7 hero!
That's all true. But all things good and even great, end. Maybe it's not the end. And maybe it is.
One thing is true...he is currently NOT the best goalie on the Kings. Can he be the best goalie on the Kings again? Possibly.
But truthfully, probably not.

Yeah dudes declining hard. Should have traded him when they had the chance sadly. Might have gotten something for that disgustingly long contract.
But here we are, Quick sporting a near 87% save percentage.
If compare the game logs they both show the same up and down stats. Campbell has one great stretch at the end of November and when he had some starts in January(he didn't start at all in December it looks like). And look, Quick had a great stretch in December. I think Jack should be given a shot at the work load next season and have Quick backing him up, but as far as this season goes, neither of them could save it.

I don't even care to go back and look but I think this started all falling apart when he went to yell at Willie D. I'm sure his numbers since then are just straight TRASH.
The leaders aren't playing, guys are clearly half-assing it even worse when they were when it was just 'things going wrong.'
I can't be mad about anything that happens in the last few games, lol, the damage was done all season. Kopitar and Drew could be -7 each and Kovy can sit on the bench and play 3 minutes a night and Quick could drop to .600, it doesn't change a thing, frankly if they 'finished with pride' it might be more insulting.
Just happy to see some promising futures, and curious to see what happens when Willie D is jettisoned. And love MacDermid playing old school, 'if you're not gonna answer the bell, I'm gonna punish you" hockey. Poetic justice.

Bennett took a big run (and missed) at Doughty tonight and threw a cheap ass hit on Thompson in the crease knocking him into Jack Campbell and injuring him (torn meniscus).
