Gravel got sneakily slewfooted on the 2nd Yotes goal, which was unfortunate. Of course the penalty Brown drew was pretty meh so it evened out.

Yup he said it's a still a work in progress but thank goodness his shot is back.

That's why I have faith that Carter and Kopitar can play well into their mid-30s, if health cooperates. Shot + instincts can help you continue to be effective even when the foot speed slows down.

Starting Campbell was a acceptable move, some were even suggesting that before the game. There are 3x20 minutes of ice hockey with 16 forwards and 6 defensemen. Still a spread of risk.

Betting your house on a hand of Black jack is nothing more than a gamble.

I used the house analogy since losing last night would have been a major, major impediment to the Kings making the playoffs. It was extremely important.

You can have all those skaters play a great game but have your goalie shit the bed and you lose.

You needed those two points more than tonight's, IMO. You ice your best team. It was an "acceptable move" in January or February but was not last night.

Of course, when someone wins a bet or defies the odds, they look like a genius and everything looks acceptable. I actually like Stevens, but he took a risk last night regardless of what Campbell's record has been.

If anyone wants to support the move by bringing up Campbell's record so far, might as well make the case for him being the starter as well.

I look forward to having 30 goal 2nd and 3rd line centers backing up our all-star 1C Gabe Vilardi in the future. :D
