Also those player ratings are from daily faceoff and I wish I could get rid of them, but I guess they're here to stay for now.

News/Notes:
  • The Kings look to bounce back again after their 2-1 overtime loss to the Jets Tuesday night. The Kings will be playing the Colorado Avalanche who are also fighting for their playoff lives.
  • The Avs are 36-39-10 against the Kings lifetime, but are 22-18-1 at home against the Kings.
  • Avalanche are in great form right now going 8-1-3 in their last 12 games. Semyon Varlamov has played in 18 consecutive games.
  • Nathan MacKinnon is 3rd in the NHL in scoring 3 points behind Nikita Kucherov. He is currently riding a 13 game point streak tying a career high for him.
  • Last time these two teams played was December 21st where Dustin Brown scored the game winning goal in overtime in his 1,000th career game.
  • Not only has Nathan MacKinnon been scoring, right winger Mikko Rantanen has been just as hot the last 12 games, recording 7 goals, 16 assists for 23 points in that span. He is on a 7 game point streak and has gotten points in 11 out of the last 12 games.

Massive game, and despite Stevens drinking all night, I feel good about it, think we'll have a good performance. Whether that's enough or not vs. a hot and good team, like the last two games, we'll have to see.

I hate that I feel better vs. good opponents than I do vs. the Oilers.

Also great GDT kingsboy! I love the lineup cards!

You do? I thought they looked ugly, but there's not much I can do about that now so I better get used to it.

Also what's annoying about Steven's lines is that we have 7 games remaining after tonight. I don't think its the right time to start fiddling with the lines this much with the playoffs around the corner. I feel like Stevens is trying to shoehorn Reider in, but he's just not simply good enough right now. I think we should stick with what has been working throughout the season with Iafallo, Kopi and Brown and the 70s line and then we can sort out the bottom 6.

Maybe it's just me, but the ONE line for Colorado, THAT is whats making them good? That's just...wow....I guess it's a testament to how good that line REALLY is....

The 70's line HASNT been together all season, if anything, keep Kempe with Pearson and Toffoli which is what he has done and people still bitched about it, either way he's not gonna win,

He's got about 7.5 of top 9 players

Let's hope Kopitar isn' drinking pepto on the bench again. We all know how that game went.

Duncan Siemens is in for Wars of sky. Avs twitter put up these pairings, but they are often wrong & Bednar blends the pairings anyway:

Johnson - Barrie
Nemeth - Girard
Zadorov - Siemens

Maybe it's just me, but the ONE line for Colorado, THAT is whats making them good? That's just...wow....I guess it's a testament to how good that line REALLY is....

The D-corps has been really good this year...with EJ & Barrie playing as well as ever, Zads becoming a force (though he did get shaken up in our last game), Nemeth n Barberio being decent, and Girard being a magician...and the Nieto-Soderberg-Comeau line is putting in a yeomen's effort as our shutdown line...

...but yeah, Tyson Barrie pretty much is our secondary scoring right now...

Just had to laugh at this because this is so us as well. I'd like the avs playoff hopes a lot less if we still had more games with the Sabres on our schedule

Cheers to some intense & fun hockey without any injuries!

I know they haven't been together all year, but we know they can play with each other because have a lot of success in the past and are familiar with each other. Rather Carter than a rookie centering them.

In their last 12 games, the Avalanche have only 1 regulation loss, and that was against the best team in the league.

In the entire year of 2018, the Avalanche only have 2 regulation losses at home.

This is the Kings 3rd game in 4 nights.

Going to be at Staples tonight and probably going to miss a good chunk of this game.

Very important game for both teams, a little bit worried because a loss here really hurts the playoff chances, especially the chance to get the WC1 spot.

Wasn't that against Winnipeg as well, 3 games in four nights? lol man that's brutal schedule.

Shitty scheduling. Worst time of the year for it.

57 points in 12 games...that was as of last Sunday though. Who knows what it is now.

Don't forget it's at Mile High, and it's actually 4 in 6 nights and 9 in 15

Between March 8th and 30th, the Kings will have played 13 games in 23 days plus travel!
