Another thing that sucks. Iafallo has 0 goals in 13 games. Why do the Kings have so many 'top 6 forwards' that have these 0 goal streaks that go 10 t0 20 games??
It's frightening. The top 2 lines NEVER are both contributing at the same time...and there is ALWAYS 1,2, or 3 of them having these 10+ game goal less streaks.
Never seen anything like this.

What sucks about it, is Alex will be playing there every game until the end of the season. Really wonder what Kovalchuk would have done, if playing 1 LW every game. He would probably be leading Kings with 25 goals, 25 assists and 2nd in scoring. And would NOT be -20 on that line.

but....Kopitar wants Iafallo on his LW and Doughty wants Forbort on his paring

WHAT THE KINGS NEED, IS A COACH THAT SETS THE LINES, PERIOD. NO PLAYER GETS TO
SAY WHO THEY WILL PLAY WITH. FUKKKED UP.

Iafallo needs to move down to 3rd line next year. He absolutely is a decent player, but he's not a #1 LW.

Doughty likes playing with Forbort so he has someone to blame

I imagine a lot of players around the league that have the stature of Kopitar or Doughty get a say in those sorts of things. I think Datsyuk wanted to play with Abdelkader when Babcock was still in Detroit. I think even Quenneville did that in Chicago. Or maybe he didn't, which helped contribute to him being gone. Or maybe he played his favorite players, those certain coach favorites that suck, but they muck and grind in the corners well. Either way, coaches are coaches.

I don't know if we can rag on WD for barely playing Wagner or any other young players, but then say the coach's word should be final. Young players should neither be seen nor heard.

Very fortunate the Devils and Red Wings have won a few games as well

Yeah, they're sort of still trying, just like the Kings.

Why the hate for Tkachuk? Never heard a guy be this candid to the media about another player.
Feel like its almost a old school vs youth debate. A lot of guys are out there to play hard and is he really that dirty of a player?

Tkachuk is a piece of garbage as a human being. Just a dirty player who needs to have his jaw broken.

Can’t wait to read Drew’s candid comments on Willie Desjardins when he’s asked about him this summer.

LOL he took shots at EK too. All tea, no shade.

“I like how Gio plays. I have tons of respect for Gio. He plays the game the right way, he plays in both ends of the ice, he plays hard defensively, he blocks shots, he’s a first penalty-kill unit guy. You don’t see that from Burns or (two-time winner Erik) Karlsson. They’re not first penalty-kill unit guys. They’re not even close.
“They’re amazing at the offensive side of the game. None of us are even close to them — well, we’re close, but we don’t have their offensive upside. But they don’t have even close to our defensive upside. I would want Giordano on my team before I’d want those points guys.”

Since it sounds like you're genuinely asking, I'll indulge. He's thrown no less than three dangerous elbows at Kings in his short time in the league, and tried to make up for it by jumping Jake Muzzin. He throws spears over boundaries and out of play. He waits for refs to intervene, then throws blows. It's not that he's a chippy asshole like Drew, it's the habitual line crossing with no respect for others AND putting the refs/linesmen in harms way by starting shit when they intervene instead of before.

Now in his defense Flames fans suggest he's mostly cleaned it up this year so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt moving forward but last night didn't do anything to dispel my old thoughts by taking several runs at Drew and finally getting frustrated at the missed hit and throwing out his elbow. That's similar to the first incident where they were actually just battling really hard together, which was great to watch, then Tkachuk just got annoyed and got dirty. Plus, his fight card is picking up some real cred. And that's not to say he's not a hell of an actual hockey player. But his cowardly acts rub me the wrong way and anyone on this particular board knows how I feel about the rats on Nashville, he's very much like those guys right now minus the diving (thankfully).

You guys are all busy yapping about Tkachuk and I’m over here laughing at what a punk ass James Neal is.

Hey at least Jack Campbell didn’t get run by Sam Bennett again with no Kings player defending him.

The difference is Kneeal is an acknowledged turd and now a bad player so no one is defending him.

meanwhile Tkachuk throws spears at people off the rink and many Flames fans go "lol triggered, love him"

I would love a Tkachuk type on LA.

Was at the game last night and was actually shocked Drew did more than just run his mouth on the slash call. My take was MT tried to run Drew with a less than clean hit. Drew took exception, Tkachuk gave Drew a little tap with the stick and then Drew two handed Tkachuk to the shins (one of the most padded areas). Dumb penalty for Doughty to take.

Given the distance Tkachuk traveled to make the hit, seems obvious he wanted to put a licking on Doughty. Good thing Doughty rarely ever has his head down and saw him coming from 15 feet away. Might have been one of those knee-on-knee situations if Doughty's not the player he is. Tkachuk leads with his left knee and elbow. Not a bad penalty to take, in my opinion. It's not like either team needed the points.

Keith was dirty but also tough. My favorite player. Stood in front of the net back when it meant something to do so.

52 goals and 229 PIMs in one season back when you didn't get two minutes for breathing on someone. He also was a big fan of stirring it up late in a loss.

As for his boys, I'd love to have either of them on the Kings. This place would absolutely love either of them if they played for LA.

Agreed completely with the bold. Especially Brady, that guy is going to be special.
