All these own goals reminds me of 2012 against the Devils in the finals, they made me sick but there was a very nice reward at the end :)

Oh I forgot, that Williams slashing penalty, super dumb, but how a soft slash on the hands knocks Hillen over is beyond me. I'm not a physics major, but I sat next to one, and he too was befuddled by it.

The game was all Caps in the first due to the Kings slow start and penalties. Was at the game and in the second you could tell the Kings could take over until the Penner goal (classic Penner). Going into the third you could tell the Kings would take it to the Caps. Caps fans are easy to throw off due the Team's roller coaster performance All year (every year). Caps fans are actually good people....a better being than the fans at the prior game :)

One note is after Gaborik scored....I was hollering cause it was such a sweet goal. Stoll looked back and laughed cause the building was silent after that goal.

Oh and Richards (empty netter should have been a goal)

So, rest Quick on Thursday and play him against the Jets at home on Saturday or go with Quick on Thursday and let Jones play the Jets?

I'd say give Quick the Pens start...better team go with your best goalie then give Jones the Jets; unless Quick is outright tired after the back to back come Thurs.

In some sort of crazy, fevered, mania, I decided to bet on today's game also! NOW DO I NEED TO BET ON EVERY GAME?? Gotta keep the streak going!!!

But seriously, tonight was a bit of a mess, but we won in the end. The only thing I take from the game is that:

1. Martinez es muy caliente. Su pantelones es en fuego!!!

2. This was the first game where I was actually impressed, and felt that I've seen, the kind of skill that was advertised with Gaborik. That shot was nuts. Seriously, I watched the slowest replay I could find and I still don't know where the shot went in. I was honestly apprehensive about Gabby, but he seems to be rounding into form VERY nicely. Hopefully he'll be a beautiful piece by playoffs.

Also, interesting, this is the first back to back quick has won since 2011

It actually sounded like there was a solid smattering of Kings fans in there....definitely heard a mini roar in the stands after Gaborik and Brown's goals

Gonna give myself a pat on the back for this one in the pre-game:

We need a Gabbo goal today baby!

He has looked sharp and I'm glad. We're gonna need everyone to round into playoff form and so far all our forwards are doing exactly that. Hopefully the defense will stabilize and this team will learn some discipline.

for what it's worth, both Jim Fox and Daryl Evans had no issue with the non-call on Richards with the empty net

the rule should be changed cause the refs didn't technically make the wrong call... but Richards would have scored if he was hooked. should've have been a goal.

I really hope Jones starts half of the remaining games, really need to have quick rested heading into the playoffs. The upcoming games don't mean jack.

I think you put too much emphasis on goalies being tired. The goalies spend 90% of their games with their ass parked inside their goal, doing nothing. The goalies look exhausted because of the equipment they have to wear (mainly the mask), not because they're winded from the game.

[Humming along to the music in the arena with so few shoots going at them cuz of Corsi] :sarcasm:

What a game! WHAT A GAME! (with caps lock)

Anze role was average, imo.
