Didn't need to get to OT or a shootout if the refs do their job. Glad we got the win anyway. Love the comeback from this team in this game.
 
That's called, getting man-handled.

Or as caps fans call it,

"OMG KINGS ARE SO DIRTY THIS ******** **** THE REFS."

Overall it wasn't bad at all. I think the Richards empty-net call was weird. If Carlson doesn't take the penalty, Richards scores, yet it's not an automatic.
 
Well deserved win. Winning streak on the road still unfolding.

Players that haven't had a good year are becoming contributors and getting in gear for playoffs (Voynov, Richards, Brown).

I honestly didn't think we would win in SO, thought Quick would be dead tired. Glad I was proven wrong. :yo::yo:

I was listening to the WSH feed and they mentioned that Richards wasn't clearly ahead of the defender on the play, but now that you mention it, I guess with an EN, it should have been an automatic goal.

Overall it wasn't bad but they were calling everything ticky tack consistently early on but when the kings went to their possession game in the 2nd and 3rd the whistles mysteriously disappeared even when all the stick fouls and holds lead to turnovers. I just despise when the reffing temperature changes, need consistency in game.

Despite all the adversity--3 in 4 nights, back to back on the road in weather, played two good teams that are desperate for points, posts, two early pp goals against, Quick looking off tonight--we've still gotten all 4 points this far. Love it.

Next game vs the pens is what, 4 in 7 nights? Meh. That game is just playin for bonus points IMO. Glad we put ourselves in this situation. Great and entertaining game!

(Also want to credit the caps. Thete been gusty through their injuries and played fantastic to start the game. I love how they create space even with a pressure forecheck. Flyers did it too but not as well. )
