  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

I feel like we are close to being the real deal
I hope you are right, but to become the real deal there are a few factors we need to consider

Can EP play like a 10 million dollars player next season? Can he rebound?
Is Boeser going to resign with us, if he did resign can he live up to his new contract? Hard to say, what if he pulls a loui ericksson?
Our defense is okay
Goalie is also another concern, can Demko stays healthy?

So many factors needs to address, if i am him, why not go to a team like florida and compete every year while not having the pressure he has in here?

I dont know, players of his calibre might want to win a stanley cup at least once in his career. Not trying to troll, but can we be the team that give him that chance?
Whos the last franchise player that just left a team to sign with the current best team in the league then proceeded to win a cup? It just doesn't happen. This is Quinn Hughes team. He's not a quitter. Best thing he can do for himself and his legacy is bring the first Stanley Cup to Vancouver as the captain of the team. He's going to do it.

As a lifelong Canuck fan I thank the Gods in heaven that I'm alive to watch a guy like Quinn Hughes play hockey in Vancouver.

He's not just the best d-man in the NHL right now, he's one of the best to ever play the game. An almost unfathomable 32.17 minutes of ice-time tonight. It's almost like he's playing in a different league than any other guy on the ice.

Hughes is still only 25. Is it possible that we're seeing him reach an even higher level of play? Is he going to be even better in the future? How is this even possible?

He had a bit of a slow first few games and I thought maybe last year was something he couldn’t replicate and he’d go back to being really good. But what he’s done with year despite the injuries and everything going wrong around him is truly something. I do think if not a higher level individually, if the team around him can be better again, he could do some really ridiculous things

I’m thinking the same way, also he knows if he stays in Vancouver, he’s going to go down as the best Canuck of all time, a legend in the city.

Yeah I have to agree, though he already is a legend in the city to be honest. If Hughes ends up staying in Vancouver, I think it's safe to say he transcends the reincarnation cycle for himself and the whole fanbase

And this is not a funny post, people have been waiting their whole lives for this and he has impacted the livelihood of a decent percentage of Canucks fans so far

I really hope that you're right - he isn't walking for free because we'll 100% know which way it's going by 2026-27 training camp, makes no sense for either party since he might want his 8 year extension and there is 0 chance that we're going to take that chance and let him walk to free agency. There is no trade we win for Quinn, but at the same time if he were to show signs of not wanting to extend we'd get the biggest haul in any trade of this century by far, so we'll still be okay.
