Pressure Against St. Louis
  • All big games now
  • Have to have a different mindset every game; didn’t like their 3rd period against Utah, parked it, and then moved on and had a good game against Winnipeg
  • It’s a whole different game
Positives to Carry Over From Last Game
  • Every player contributed in some way, last game
  • Checked really well and scored some nice goals; held on to pucks, got pucks to the middle, scored some rush goals, and rebound goals
Tonight’s Game
  • Every game is the most important
  • Blues are a hot team and need to make sure the Canucks take care of the puck
  • Blues are a really good rush team; have a lot of swagger and confidence right now
  • No freebie goals against
  • Every inch matters, every line change matters; bad penalties or not reloading properly can lose you the game
Clearouts
  • Are getting better at clearing out the front of the net
  • Don’t focus on the puck, get body position first
  • Even forwards are getting better at it
  • Canucks are not on their defensive game when they are too focused on the puck
  • Have some good veteran defencemen; mentions Forbort and Myers are leading the charge
Garland
  • Will be another game time decision; still needs to talk to him
Demko
  • Had the full net today and is getting close
  • Doesn’t know when he will be back
  • Isn’t sure if he will back-up before he plays a game or get right into game action when he’s ready to go
  • Not backing-up tonight

Garland has been sinking every PP unit he's on, holds onto the puck too long and has a muffin of a shot. Joshua should be sitting, not Lekkerimaki. What a joke

Ugh, it blows so much that the Sportsnet app doesn't work in the USA. I'll have to settle for follow the GDT and watching the highlights for this massive game.

The Blues are going to be just as desperate as the Canucks. It's time for Hughes and Petey to come through with their best performances of the season.
