Best chance of the game came when Hughes dished it off to Petey at the blueline, who sent it across to Boeser for the tying goal. And Hughes needs to remember that instead of shooting it right into the defender six times a game, or passing up a wide open Suter on a 2 on 1 in OT.

DeBrusk’s change in OT cost them the game. And I don’t know why Hughes decides to try and take the puck carrier on the 2-on-1 instead of taking away the pass. It seems like a lower percentage way to stop a 2v1.

Oh well. The way they managed to get a point was fun to watch. Was a big point too.
