GDT: GM 68 | Vancouver Canucks vs. Winnipeg Jets | Tue, Mar 18 | 7:00PM PST | SPAC

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server

This should go well:

Canucks and Rogers Arena has never been an amazing home ice advantage outside of the peak of the Gillis/Twins era.
Not sure on the reason as the team controls the arena so can setup their home dates however they wish. Have seen this season a few 1 off road games in the middle of a homestand which is puzzling to see. Like that Calgary game on B2B after hosting Montreal to break up a 6 game homestand into 2 separate 3 game stints.

Maybe I'm an idiot but I think I start Silovs for this one.

That STL matchup on Thursday could very well decide whether we make the playoffs. That's 3 games in 5 nights for Lankinen if he starts it. Frankly, there's a pretty good chance we score 1 or 0 goals against WPG and our goaltending quality doesn't really matter anyway.

Also, I think Silovs' best performances were against EDM in the playoffs last year and I wonder if there's any chance he performs better against competition that scares him a bit. He's looked pretty unfocused in his matchups against bottom feeders this year.

Jets can pretty much put us out of our misery with a regulation win eh?

They sort of lost it last night against Utah. Even if they somehow pull off a major upset, they've got a killers' row of opponents coming up ... Jets (x2), Vegas (x2), Avs, Stars, Rangers, Blues etc. In fact, given St. Louis' relative strength of schedule, they were probably fair underdogs to make it even before last night.

Oh boy, we get the Jets before we leave town, and we get them on the way back to town.

Chytil wasn't cooking it on the scoreboard, but he was a center that created diversions on the ice for the opposition. Now Petey is getting all the attention and that means not much time and space. Maybe Raty or Sasson should be on the road trip?
