Is that so?

Well, that was this month. That's a talented young player who has dedicated his life to hockey w/ his whole career ahead of him, whose earned a shot at playing in the NHL. Just like Marc Savard. Now what if that were Chris Kelly?

Last time it was only our #1 center and best offensive player carted off the ice on a stretcher. No biggie. Btw, if the Bruins hadn't been built like a brick ****house as far as the center position, it could arguably have cost us a championship. It's an astonishing feat that we lost a player of that importance, and still won a championship, hardly ever discussed.

Old enough to remember exactly the same type of hit taking out the last 50 goal man to play in Boston to date. The second it happened also marked the moment we were no longer real contenders. For a/b 20 years. That hit was over 20 years ago. And, I still hope the guy that did it gets the herpes, and ****in dies.

Hockey is a tough sport, a contact sport, it's inevitable there are sometime injuries. It's something else entirely when it's intentional. And, that's exactly what Matt Cooke does. He's done it repeatedly throughout his career. Indisputable.

Therefore Matt Cooke has long way to go to get off my **** list. You're just a better person than I, what can I say. The NHL will be better place the second that condom escapee is history.

Amen. Cooke should have been kicked out of the NHL years ago.

I especially agree with your description of him as a "condom escapee"

Being American and growing up in Boston, St. Patrick's Day was always a great time of year. Wish everyone a fun and safe day today.

Not to be overlooked though, I recently married a beautiful Indian woman, and today is the Indian holiday of Holi. It's a fabulous holiday. While you're out celebrating St. Patrick's day, pick up some colors and throw it on the person next to you! Happy Holi everyone!

For the game? Hope the Bruins can keep the streak alive. I think the most important thing for this final stretch, though is health. Lets keep everyone healthy on the road to victory.

Recently married?

Congratulations, and my condolences.

People need to let all this Matt Cooke crap go. It's been 4 years already.

Really? If he was a first-time offender when he did it I probably would, but this was a routine play for him. I don't care that he hasn't done anything notable recently, my opinion of the guy will never change.

It`s Miller time tonight:yo:

I`ve accepted that Cooke is a POS, I have also accepted that he will get his, and when it happens, at the hands of whomever on whatever team, it will be an absolute doozie;)

I will have a party...I hope it is soon.

No Johnny Boychuk tonight.

He's been taking a beating lately. Hopefully he's just a little sore and they're being cautious. I know there's still a lot of hockey to be played before the postseason, but it's high time Boychuk and Chara sat out a game or two here and there.

Agreed. You have plenty of NHL capable defensemen to step in and play a game or two while those guys get a few games rest. You'd rather have Johnny and Z sitting in the regular season, not in the playoffs when it really counts.

Third line is humming along with the first line picking it up as well. Looks like the defenseman rotation is keeping everyone fresh and competitive. Hope to see McQuaid back soon.

No Johnny Boychuk tonight.

I know Harvard Medical School wanted to study Johnny because you can't kill him.

There are supermodels who go down a runway less than Johnny. I bet he goes down the runway dinged 15 times a year but always returns. They should put a phone booth there for him

Hey guys, I know you have a visitors guide to Boston thread and there are a few restaurants listed inside it, but I'm looking for recommendations, and figured I would get more views in here. I'm a Minnesota fan visiting Boston for a few days (have a friend here, going to the game tonight) and I was looking to try a good seafood restaurant. Any ideas?

Neptune Oyster. I'm sure it's listed in that thread, but that's all you need to know.

If you're south of the city, I just went to the Legal C Bar in Hingham and it was excellent also.

Enjoy the game tonight. Minnesota typically has damn good showings against Boston

Hell baby
Just rewatched that dirty open ice thigh check Cooke had on McQuaid (Chara came over and turtled him obviously). Reinvigorated my hate for him.

I hope he eats a Z slapper tonight.

Is there? I thought it was like 15 games.

That's still a lot of time even if you need to make up some ground and want to rest guys. Don't the Bruins normally rest guys like Chara and Bergeron in the last few games? So they got 15 left, I say get an early start.
