Everybody including the announcers missed it on first pass, it was sneaky dirty. I didn't notice it at all until they ran the replay.

Exactly. I'm not surprised or upset at no response. You don't throw a hissy fit every time someone falls on the ice. By the time anyone saw how vicious it was the moment was gone and focusing on the game was also pretty important. Couldn't really afford to get into a goon fest being down by a goal.

AND honestly, have you ever seen a rookie D get under so much skin as Elias Pettersson has? He's 15 games in and he's gained so many enemies. I love it. Best compliment I've ever given. He's like...a sturdy gal. Doesn't instigate but finishes.

Good comeback, and about time they win a game after trailing after 2. Guess that also snaps our streak of scoring 3 or less goals? Or does it? Assume so, so yay.

Unfortunately I threw in the towel after the Hab lost. Think this is too little, too late. Probably be the Hockey Clubs that get the 2nd WC.

But at least we aren't rolling over and mailing it in. Awesome to see EP40 show up in the "biggest game of the year." His SO goal was dawg. But why was he 2nd lowest 5v5 ice time for forwards after 2 periods in a must win game?

I'm pretty much done with Tocchet now as well. I get and agree with earning your ice time, but come on.

Thought Mancini had his strongest game in the Orca. Especially when we were pushing in the 3rd. Hard to integrate 3 rookie dmen simultaneously, so I'm interested in how things shake out here over the end of this season and next.

Really wish Boeser would stop proving everyone right. Might need a healthy scratch just to get a mental reset.

Don't think we'll make the playoffs, but still want to see EP40 finish strong. Love to see him get to 20 goals. That would mean a solid finish to build off in the offseason.

Also hope Demko can get back and stay healthy for a handful of starts. At least have him healthy and on the ice heading into his offseason regime.

What a pessimistic take. And I'm like "im"patient zero for that.

I prefer to see it as either life'll stab you in the back or punch you in the gut.

I have been going through past decade or so of life with much cynicism and an unhealthy level of not giving a shit haha.

Off to bed now, 16 hours shift tomorrow~.

Chaplain off! Started off as the same model, actually...

I am VERY upset with myself for not having gotten into the hobby during 9th ed launch - Indom box has my favorite two factions. I've been gradually searching and hunting down the Indomitus models piece by piece on facebook market and ebay. Now the only one I'm missing is the Judiciar, and I think I might have a way to get it, with a little time.

it’s really hard to believe that f***ing rick tocchet’s team wouldn’t murder zary and especially lombard. if you even looked at mario lemieux, he would kill your whole family.

for good measure, here’s tocchet with a broken jaw fighting kris king, and later going after messier then adam graves

(1:55 messier hiding behind the ref like a ____)

ol' spear chucker messier.

Just hope he's ok after that dirty hit.

If there's one thing to complain about tonight it's the lack of response after the Zary hit. I can imagine Tocchet is just fuming because you know he would've done something about it in his day. Guys like Joshua, Forbort, Sherwood, Bleuger , Aman etc needed to step up. There's no excuse why Zary wasn't jumped right after that hit - take a penalty, I don't care. Just do something.

This well earned victory will not make me forget that the refs were absolutely trolling tonight.

Mancini looked like a prototype of shea theodore 2.0 with his skating and getting point shots through. kid is gonna be a gem from the trade IMO. team needs to get someone to answer the bell on that zary hit on Dpetey. no response. on the ice i beleive was boeser/ep40/hogs. he did try but to no avail. lack of protection. same with hughes always getting bulllied and stuff. ep40 seems happier 3 goals in 3 games so far. just keep up with the shooting mentality.

Honestly all that went over my head.

I see net, I shoot. That's just me. Some players really can think about stuff like this in the 10-15 seconds they get before they pick up the puck.

I just go with vibes.
when i play drop in hockey i always have a shoot first mentality. or if i afind an open man pass. but always a shooter first.

Great effort on a B2B. Unlucky once again not to score more. Another post and still not much luck around the net. Keep it up and the goals will come especially if Hughes stays in the lineup.

What a difference it makes when your highest paid player produces like it, huh? Clutch goal to tie and in the shootout. The difference between this Pettersson and the one we've got for most of this season is probably like 10 points in the standings at minimum. If he's even 75% back we have a great chance at making it.

Absolute chicken shit hit by Zary. Would be a joke if there wasn't a suspension. Hope Junior is okay but I imagine it has to be a concussion considering he didn't return. I know some people are mad about there not being enough of a response but it seemed like nobody noticed how dirty it was initially. The coaches on the bench didn't make a fuss even though they have replays on their tablets so it just seems everyone missed it. They must have realized in the intermission like everyone else did but they didn't want to do something stupid to cost them the game.

Like others I am enjoying Mancini's progression but I'd hold off on the top-4 hopes. Suffice to say there's a big difference between looking decent for a few games in a bottom-pairing role and being a legit top-4. That said, it's clear he has tools and he doesn't seem like the type of guy that has tools yet no brain (Sbisa, Gudbranson, etc). Raw but definitely nice potential.

Hoglander continues to do a lot of good things, needs more ice-time... Specifically some of Boeser's ice time.

Would not be upset if that was Aman's last game as a Canuck.

I had resided that it would be tremendously easier to quit drinking without playoffs.

How the f*** did this dcore do a giga 180.

If EP is ready for his redemption arc my liver is f***ed.

I went to the game tonight - my first in Calgary. Some notes:

-Seeing Hughes up close, wow. The guy is magical on the ice. Everything he does, from his skating to his decision making, is leagues above everyone else.

-Mancini impressed me tonight. We may have something there.

-I’m not sure if it was caught on TV, but Joshua had a mouthful of expletives for Lombard. Joshua also skated past the Flames’ bench and was chirping Lombard some more. Nice to see him sticking up for Hughes, at least verbally.

-Also not sure if it was caught on TV, but the Canucks’ control of the puck in OT was absolutely infuriating the home crowd. It was great to see. Every time Hughes circled outside of the Flames’ zone, there were many exasperated shouts and boos. Excellent OT, and they did everything but score.

-EP was great. Also, Garland had plenty of dash and looked good out there tonight. Boeser, on the other hand, was so frustrating to watch.

-Calgary has a very good goaltender in Wolf. It looks like he may keep them in the mushy middle for a long time.

Also…definitely good that Calgary is building a new arena there. The current one is a bit of a dump. The concourse is very narrow, so it’s shoulder to shoulder. Getting out of there at the end of the game was a claustrophobic nightmare. I couldn’t imagine having to ever evacuate that place. And there are hardly any bathrooms, so it’s a mile long wait. Spent almost the entire intermission waiting in a giant line to use the facilities.
