It's too bad the guy in the draft next year is considered the generational guy. Wonder if the Kings can be this bad again next year.
He literally just said the question is fair given how often this has happened this year.wow foxy ****in trying to defend this team's effort
"name names"
KOPITAR BROWN CARTER TOFFOLI
This is the 9th? Thought it was only the 7th hahaha. Oh boy.
which was him backpedaling off what he said earlier in the game and a few seconds beforeHe literally just said the question is fair given how often this has happened this year.
including tonight's inevitable loss, we are 0-6-3 in our last nine. our last win was a shootout victory against philadelphia on february 7th
Let's talk the 2008 LA Kings.
Seven goalies played that year, including 19 games of Jean-Sebastien Aubin.
Still had two, 30 goal scorers.
Handzus played all 82 games, only had 21 points and was a -21 for the green jacket.
38 year old Blake and 21 year old Jack Johnson right behind him at -19 each.
Ivanans played 73 games!
19 games left for this current trash. Need 18 points to match this 2008 team. Need 15 to match the even worse 2007 team.
It is totally in ****ing play that they finish in this range. Pretty astounding stuff when you look at the dollars being spent, the lack of impact youth that at least the '07 and '08 teams had and the fact that this team has a Norris finalist and Selke winner/Hart finalist from the year prior.
At least people survived the Titanic and then a huge movie got made about it.
Is there an edge though? I've heard they're interchangeable early last season.
All these losses in a row were eventually going to have some effectWow some actual candor between Fox and Faust about the Kings situation.
That's a way better situation than this current joke.
Kopitar was 20, Johnson was 20, O'Sullivan was 22, Cammy and Frolov were still relatively young at 25.
The worst thing about these last five seasons with the Kings is we've had to watch terrible teams and we've had ZERO impact young players enter the lineup, quite the awful combination.
They might gain if they were in regulation, but the OT/SO losses are actually hurting them. All these losses in a row were eventually going to have some effect
