Phanuef has looked good. Other than the corkscrew angle he took on the puck at the end there, he's been solid, if slow. He used his body perfect earlier, exiting the zone with a player draped on him. He's also a breath of fresh air in the physicality department.

He forgets he’s announcing a hockey game. It used to be said many many many years ago that this was the type of announcer you needed for SoCal hockey because it sort of dummied down the game a bit for all the people that didn’t understand hockey. Well Bob and Jim changed all that. They kind of have with Patrick O’Neal and Odie where Patrick dummies things down a bit, admits he doesn’t know the game, defers to Odie for the expert advice. On the play by play Faust is clueless, doesn’t know it, and Fox has forgotten more about hockey in his lifetime than Faust ever knew in the first place. It’s a clumsy pair. This wouldn’t go over in any Canadian city. Ha!
