The Kings have some fast players, like Iv'e said before, it's a 'myth' that we're still the big slow kings, playing slow is a different thing altogether. There's speed up and down the lineup now. And now these guys are decisive and playing with pace, and it keeps people honest so when you DO slow it down, i.e. Toffoli waiting for a lane for a cross pass, the opponent STILL has to back off and respect someone blowing down the middle lane.

Forbort has 3 shots because it's so easy to just put everyone on Doughty's side and give that dumb asshole a free shot at the net. It's like me pulling up for a 3 in the NBA.

I liked the first, good effort , especially considering they were coming off of the grammy trip which always seems like a bit of a let down. I love how Wagner is continuously developing as a player and cementing himself as a n NHLer. I remember when he came up first, someone on here said there was not a chance that he would never be a player and I think about that every time he pops a goal or forces errors on opposing blueliners.
 
If we're seriously just going to waste Doughty's career playing him like Vlasic or Hjalmarsson, let's just be done with it and trade him for Vlasic or Hjalmarsson. Zero reason to be spending 11 million on a shutdown d-man that you bury in your own zone with a f***ing anchor on his back just because the rest of your defense needs to be saved.

Yeah, it's like saying the Oilers are the fastest team in the league because McDavid is the fastest. Without him on the ice, they're just as slow as anyone else.

If they trade Marty, it's Doughty and Forbort [maybe Dion] that have the most experience . Almost wished they kept McNabb and exposed Forbort.

No doubt the Kings have gotten faster within the roster as well besides quicker decision making. The Kings are flying which is something that is rare to say. So the Kings can play a fast game if they want to.

Also, agree, while Forbort has been getting good shots off, it's absolutely dumb to have Doughty sit back and baby sit him. It's a waste of talent.
