- Dustin Brown has been suspended for 1 game for kneeing Lightning defenseman Mikhail Sergachev.br own was fined earlier this year for boarding Justin Schultz.
- Trevor Lewis was reevaluated in Los Angeles. Head Coach John Stevens says he's not day-to-day, but he's not out long term.
- Jonathan Quick was the first goalie off, so it looks like he'll start against the Hurricanes. Quick stopped 13 of 14 shots after replacing Darcy Kuemper in the Kings loss in Tampa Bay on Saturday. Quick had his fair share of struggles in late-January, but has now stopped 48 of 50 shots (.960 SV%) in his last two outings. In his first start vs. the Hurricanes, Quick stopped 32 of 34 shots in a 3-2 OT win in early-December.
- Cam Ward is expected to start tonight. Ward stopped 29 of 30 shots in the Hurricanes win over the Avalanche on Saturday. He snapped a brief two-game losing skid and is now 4-1-1 with a 1.99 GAA, .931 SV% and one shutout in his last sixth start. The veteran comes into Tuesday’s game vs. the Kings at 8-3-2 with a 2.20 GAA and .923 SV% at PNC Arena this season.
