It's more shit towards those posters that think he's a magic elixir that will fix the defense.

He *could* be a Top 4 guy, but he most definitely is not one at the moment. Many on here are just penciling him as a Top 4 guy and I think it's almost entirely due to the supposed reluctance to include him in a trade last season.

Two years earlier and he's traded. Lombardi just wasn't going to trade a RHD prospect for last year's squad.

I'm not a fan of Ladue either.He isn't the next coming.I think this is Ladue last chance to prove he belongs or Blakes going to package him up for a trade.

I don't think people realize how hard it is to play top 4 minutes on Defense in the NHL. It's the same tired argument I explain countless times on this board about bottom six player production.

For some reason people think every single NHL team (minus the Kings that is) is loaded with 15-20+ goal scorers in their bottom six

That’s a lot to ask from a player who hasn’t played a game in the NHL. I feel like it’s going to be a few seasons until we see where his potential is or lack of.

I'm not saying he's gonna be a potential top 4. I think he has the tools to be better than Forbort in the NHL.

My point is people need to give LaDue a chance instead of saying "lol he sucks" he did better than most of the defenseman last year in his short stint.

More like two full NHL seasons about 150+ NHL games is right about where you see what type of guy you have. Unless that guy is Kopitar ETC.

I liked his offensive instincts last year and skating but his reads and positioning were questionable.

It's disappointing that he was made to look silly in his first game this year. This was a guy being penciled in as a Day 1 roster player.

I'm not saying toss him in the garbage, but his biggest weakness from last year popped up immediately. It's a bummer.

Ladue played 22 games last year.This isn't his first game and minus 5

That rumor I think is just that, a rumor.

Cause if Landeskog was actually available for LaDue+Pick you pull that trigger. You make that trade before Colorado returns their sanity.

Rumor was LaDue+2nd+another player I think. No way the Kings were parting with their first rounder everyone knew that.
