Made me sooo mad earlier when the Rangers got three whacks on a loose puck by Quick, scored, and not one player was on his ass. No sticks were broken, no one was even stickchecked hard. Was a refreshing breath seeing Kempe scrap and Gravel just start f***ing up anyone around. THATS the desperation we need right now. No reason guys should be able to get anywhere near Quick for three whacks just like there's no reason we shouldn't be able to get two-three whacks on pucks near the opponents goalie. Get down, get gritty. That's the only thing that's going to win games right now. Hopefully they're all seeing that tonight too. No surprise this was the best period they've played maybe this entire month and glad they got a good one-period result to reinforce that.

Gravel has looked a lot better of late. Hopefully he’s starting to gain confidence.

Biggest thing I've liked is his decisiveness. His feet are always moving, he's making quick moves with the puck. When he hesitates, he's got the same fate as Forbort.

there's a good element of hustle in this team now between guys like gravel, iafallo and amadio combined with the guys like lewis that are always hustling

some others out there could learn from the rookies

This is the most life and most engaged Kings team we’ve seen in a while. They did not perform this way over the losing streak. It’s a shame this effort level isn’t more consistent, but it’s become the norm.

Very pleased to see Amadio with a multipoint game as well. The Kings need to start getting contribution from the call ups, among others in the lineup.
