Lekk has one of the best shots on the team. That's why he deserves to be here. If he isn't hurting you too badly defensively, and he is getting 4 shots or so on net, he is doing alright. Just because he is getting hit a lot doesn't mean he shouldn't be here.

Just because you’re producing in the AHL doesn’t mean you’re physically ready for the NHL.
The AHL is not as physical as the NHL?

His shot is a plus for sure but so far he hasn’t been able to get himself in positions to use it. Could learn from watching Caufield’s goal in this one.

By most/all accounts, he has been putting up points, but every other part of his game is clearly not NHL ready. He should be brewing down there, not being jerked around and blown up when not ready.

It's an emergency call up. Not ideal. I'm viewing this one under that context.

I think his reads are NHL level. His forecheck. The wall work and 1v1s are not. RE: Every other part of his game.

You should be calling up players based on who fills up the roster spot best, not who is playing the best in the AHL.

Seems like a logical call up given their lack of offense vs Nashville.

Yeah, I’m a big Lekkerimaki fan but I didn’t want to see this call up at all. He needs time, it’s a matter of time until he blows up his shoulder.

Being physically ready means being able to compete against big, mobile NHL defenders instead of getting totally overwhelmed.

He isn’t getting 4 SOG/game and he isn’t getting by defensively.

This is the first prime game I've watched, once I removed the stupid closed captions that covered the score I'm on board.

Yes I'm sure that Quinn Hughes grocery shops at one of busiest tourist areas in the city and the whole thing wasn't staged.
Lol I was like there’s absolutely no way Hughes ever grocery shops there. Parking, getting recognized, traffic, hell no.
