Cautiously psyched about Kempe. We could have a real gem and potential future 2C if he keeps up this play. We'd be f***ed without him, especially with Carter being injured. So glad he wasn't traded for some BS quick fix that DL became known for at the end. Solid b2b effort by the boys.

Kempe has the talent to be a 1C.

Kuemper must've borrowed Quicks lucky shirt.

It was/is a must, considering our last home stand, Ziggy!

Seems like the shootout win against the Ducks woke the team up. Although they’ve been sloppy at times in their own end, the offense picking things up is why they’re winning again.

It’s obvious what they need to do to win, and trying to play a shutdown game of prevent offense clearly wasn’t working to their advantage.

It's nice to see the Kings put together a big road trip. Much needed after the last home stand.

Gaborik's presence in the lineup has injected some extra skill and depth which was missing.

i'm not sure i see the potential for kempe to shut down top lines league wide which would kind of disqualify him from being billed as a 1C imo

i think he kind of thrives in that "jeff carter" position where you don't see the opposing #1s all the time but you're head and shoulders above the #2s. i don't really want to say that as a slight on him, i think being jeff carter would be pretty f***in awesome.

Beautiful sight seeing guys with 13, 13 and 9 goals at the 26 game mark who all play on different lines.

The last two times the Kings had three lines capable of scoring they won the Stanley Cup.

No idea why the previous coaching and management group was so adamant about having the bottom six filled with guys like Andreoff, Clifford, Shore.

I've got something to tell you, and you might want to sit down for this...

The 'problem' with Kempe as it has always been is his inconsistency. He goes full invisible when he's not scoring. But tonight I saw a dude who was willing to grind and compete for every last inch, and if he can put that together every night so that he's not a ghost when he's not on the scoresheet, then he will really be something to see.

Still obviously very young, I'm not knocking him, just saying after games like this he gets deserved recognition--but he's not getting the criticism when he's not good, which makes him look better than he is. #1 C potential? Possibly. But that's a huge leap from his projections last week.
