I feel like this has been the Canucks all season, always trying for the cute play instead of just getting a shot on net. It’s infuriating when you’re down multiple goals and haven’t generated much. Just throw it on net FFS…

@PuckMunchkin I was one of the peeps wanting him gone when he was slumping 2 years ago as well and then he proved me wrong with Selke style domination. Hes likely just slumping but his attitude with his contract, his effort level and body language, not taking over any games etc in a contract year is worrisome. I wouldnt give him an 80m contract

Exactly. There was a sequence that period where Canucks had like 2-3 good shifts in the Vegas zone, then Vegas finally had a look in our zone, took a random point shot (just putting it on net), & it was as good a chance as we'd had the 5 mins before.

too many plays i've seen for the canucks puck carrier to get into the offensive zone only to fall down on both knees and give the puck up the other way? it's like they got cursed with Mason Raymond syndrome
 
I wish the team would just throw shit on net sometimes.
The unpredictability makes it so hard so defend, and in a game where you can’t seem to find your structure you dumb down your game and just f***ing shoot.

Instead we keep passing for 30 seconds only to get the puck stolen

We've been playing like that for weeks now and its absolutely ridiculous.

This team could really benefit from Mason Raymond, to be honest.

I have to admit, I'm a little worried this first line isn't going to get going in any major way. Pettersson's play is worrying me a lot, and seeing a guy like Eichel playing way better than he is, is quite frustrating. Vegas' top lines can drive the play and impose themselves. Canucks' first line isn't dominating at all, and you can't put the load entirely on the Miller line and expect to be successful.
