It's Pettersson's responsibility to show up every game and have a positive impact.

Right now he's neutral at best, and in many cases he's actually hurting the team.

That deserves criticism.

If he's injured and choosing to play through it, actively hurting the team, while preventing himself from healing, that's almost worse than if he's just slumping.

He has two choices:

1) Play better
2) Rest and recover until he's healthy enough to play better

No.

The team medical staff needs to take that decision out of his hands.

If he rests we are completely f***ed. Center depth is atrocious.

See, that 4th line shift went to plan. They get a decent chance, puck goes the other way. The Vegas guy couldn't get speed into our zone because the defencemen stood up and Bluegar was doing his job harassing him from behind. Then we win a bunch of board battles and the puck came out.

Problem is, that's only happening like 20% of the time.
