The one-sided Wild rivalry with the Canucks comes from two things:
- Bertuzzi taunting their fans before blowing a 3-1 series lead in the 2003 playoffs
- Ohlund knocking out Koivu for months for retaliating for an attempted headshot

It predated both those things, but those exacerbated it.

IIRC, there was a huge brawl in Vancouver - Cooke sucker punched Jason Marshall and broke his nose, and that started some serious bad blood for the Wild.

Being Hughes D partner seems to draw a bit of extra physical attention from the opposition. I guess it makes sense that Hronek and Tanev and? have had a few extra injuries. Comes with the territory of needing to take that on. I haven't looked up the stats btw, just seems to pass the eye test.
