Another little snippet on Willie O'Ree. I met him before a game when I was a kid. He was injured and was walking around the concourse in Phoenix. Hell of a nice guy. Asked me about school, etc. etc., signed an autograph for me that I wished I could find today, and yes, you could actually read his signature. A lot of players back then had real distinctive and LEGIBLE signatures and they took pride in being asked to sign something for a kid.

That's awesome.

You have to love it when a guy knows he's an ambassador for the game, too, taking the time out with fans and such.

I look forward to trading Toffoli away from this disaster where he will become a consistent 30-35 goal scorer

As a kid I saw Willie O'Ree in this uniform. Super fast skater, pretty decent hands.

He will be on “HNIC After Hours” for those that can get the CBC broadcast.

Why do people make these things pissing contests?

Most knew Pearson wasn't trash, but he either quit or was distracted here, as he was completely ineffective and checked out most of the time (like most of the team). Some voiced concern that a trade when it happened would be selling low, but ultimately he needed to be moved. He was awesome for some time with us, and was part of our 2014 team, so I wish him nothing but success. It's nice he's doing well away from this shit show (and in the Eastern Conference).

With that said, I hope more of the quitters get moved. Really, to me this a team that has quit, but I digress.

It's one of the few ways the Kings organization has shown there is accountability. If you're a top 6er your job is to score goals, which Pearson did not to the tune of 0.0%. He deserved to be shipped out of town for failing, whatever the reason was he was a failure of a hockey player this season. There are others and they deserve to be shipped out too. Hopefully Pearson is the beginning of players who we are told do all these extra special things besides score goals and win games.

Pearson would've made no difference on the Kings, as we witnessed for quite some time. They're a last place team, with or without Pearson.
The Kings were/are a black hole team or now worse with or without Carter, yet the idea of moving him bothered a lot of people.

Cal Peterson and the tank does not compute. Really wish Budaj was getting the lion's share of these starts.

Cal's confidence would be a hell of a payment for a top pick. Not saying that Cal is gonna get shell shocked, but this isn't the type of team you want easing the kid into his pro career.

It was hard for me. Really, last post season was my breaking point.

It’s been festering for a while. After 2015 perhaps they needed to regroup for next season, then the way they went out in 2016 left a sour taste, and it got worse in 2017.

We thought they were turning a corner in 2018 but they let the fans down again in the post season and follow it up with this atrocity that we have to bear witness to that is called Kings hockey.

Why let go? Waited my whole life for that, probably never see anything like it again.

By letting go I meant to suggest being accepting of change, which this team needs badly.

I still pop in my copies of games from 2012-2014 during the summer for my off-season hockey fix. Back when the team was fun to watch.

Now watching Kings hockey is like Mystery Science Theater, but instead of bad movies, we’re watching and discussing bad hockey. As my friends have said, we hate watch the Kings now.

Pearson wasn't the same since he broke his leg.

I haven't watched him play as a Pen so I can't tell you if he's fast or not but what I can tell you is that man the Kings locker room must be absolutely horrific if Pearson is PPG on the Pens.

Oh great Quick seems to be getting back faster than expected. That's disappointing
