Hey, did anyone know that Elias has an older brother Emil that was drafted by Nashville?

This is the first of 3 games in 4 nights for the Penguins. Look to them to be determined to win this one since Saturday's game they'll be bagged and Boston will think they have a chance on Friday. They'll know coming that the Canucks played last night.

Boston tried to win in the first two periods like they've been doing all season and Vancouver tried to let them bag themselves out. Lankinen made that happen. He was really smart with the rebounds and didn't let himself panic but has been making second efforts when that does happen.

Canucks are playing with 'house money' on a back-to-back. I was actually predicting a loss in Boston and a win in Pittsburgh.

This Pens team is just bleeding high-quality scoring chances. They're hanging their netminders out to dry night after night. Predicting Hughes will be freewheeling tonight with a lot of open ice. And Boeser usually feasts on the Pens.

But I guess any team with Crosby and Malkin in the lineup, has to command some respect.
This is my take

Never count out a named star in a game no matter how old they get or how bad the team is.

This was the take - Canucks won by playing a different style last night - their season record for blocked shots at the cost of puck control and in Boston's zone.

Sounds like Tocc's going to have them play a different style tonight. We saw what they did in Ottawa so being able to play different styles is a sign of a good team.

heck
Do you think anyone would notice if we took Marcus Pettersson and left Hoglander at his stall in the Pens locker room after the game?

After a very hot start to the season, Malkin has been super quiet offensively in November. Wonder if age is finally catching up to him.

Of course I just jinxed him and he lights us up tonight. Sorry in advance.

Juulsen doesn’t move the puck bad at all but if he was at least 10% better defensively and 90% smarter he would be a serviceable bottom pair dman. that one or two stretches of decent play a season is not good enough

The moe I watch Tock's pressers, the more I'm impressed.

Think it's safe to say Tocchet has liked Juulsen's last few games.

Juulsen hasn't been quite so bad but certainly not good.

I see it as more he likes myers and soucy split up and soucy - Desharnais 3rd pair is worse than both soucy - Juulsen, and brannstrom - Desharnais.
