This is all good guys, stop complaining; the worst thing is to be middle of the pack team; Kings have 2 SC and now its time to tank and they are doing a good job

WE've truly entered the darkest of the dark days we knew were eventually coming.

Just never in a million years thought it would be such a sudden splat, nor that it would so dramatically led by Kopitar and Doughty. Thought we'd see a lot more of last season to some degree.

The Kings don’t have any speed, skill, or grit. And it didn’t seem like they were emphasizing skill or speed when the likes of Nate Thompson and Dion Phaneuf were acquired.

This is a group has collectively looks disinterested and isn’t engaged in anything. They’re just there collecting paychecks and fulfilled everything they wanted to achieve five years ago.

Watched the recording of Monday’s game at 10:30 and fell asleep after the 1st. Same thing last night.

Best game of the season though since I didn’t go and it only cost me $4.

I’ll say it again: unless you are a Top 10-ish team, the NHL product is garbage. Nothing but going through the motions and trying not to get hurt. No pride. No hate. Just business and get my checks.

Disagree, the problem is they don't USE their speed or skill.....

You can't have a roster of Kopitar, Doughty, Brown, Carter, Kovalchuk, Toffoli, Kempe etc and say they don't have speed or skill, and then you have Hagelin, Luff, Wagner etc, it's not that they don't have it, they don't use it properly, they still are in the mindset of board play, while important, game has changed away from that...

The Kings tried to change away from their board play. They had success from key players as recently as last year.

Now Blake and co are trying to change the identity of the team on the fly and thinking it will be an easy transition while labeling the team as a contender.

I wasn't expecting what they did last year, but I was hoping those 2, who are elite at their position, would at least have a pulse on most shifts. Quarter of the season gone and they haven't shown up yet. No excuse for that. Ziggy's right, 'disinterested' is what I see and also what comes thru clear in their post game comments, which are disturbing.
Dennis Bernstein pointed out the Kings have 7 coaches they're paying. How many coaches get canned before somebody in the top most office holds a big mirror in front of the players?

Team has been lacking leadership for years , and it's time for them to recognize that and begin a rebuild. Retooling won't make them better, too many players over 30 who don't have the speed and skill for this league.

Doughty is the only player I'd keep on the current roster.

But I think Luc and Blake don't see it that way.

Exciting times. If Gabe "Broke Back" Vilardi gets healthy + Hughes on the team is a nice way to start the new Era.
Don’t forget kupari, he’s doing very well for Karpat. Almost a point per game as an 18 year old among men.

Much rather keep Doughty and jettison Kopitar for a haul if we land Hughes. We’ll be stacked at center with Hughes, Kupari, Vilardi coming up.
