Oh I know. I’d rather grab beers at Yardhouse before or after a game, but sometimes the wait to get a seat is so ridiculous, I’d just pay a bit more not to drink any of the other piss tasting beers that they offer at Staples Center.

Speaking of concessions, what happened to the Whistle Stop? My friends loved to get roast beef or pastrami sandwiches from there, but I’m not sure if it’s around anymore.

Haven't heard of whistlestop. Is yard house close by? I've never seen it.

It sucks though a lot of the beer at staples are piss flavored though.

Yardhouse is across the street in LA Live.

The Whistle Stop was a classic carryover from The Forum era.

From an article when Staples Center first opened in ‘99.
So far, the food stand with the longest lines is the 11th Street Deli on the main concourse, which serves Whistle Stop roast beef sandwiches, a longtime favorite transplanted from the Great Western Forum.

But what fans might have discovered is that several of the standard "Franks and Bev's" refreshment stands serve Whistle Stop sandwiches too. A few also serve Camacho's burritos. If the lines are long at a specialty stand, walk the concourse to see if the same food can be found elsewhere.
