Visited SLC last winter thinking itd be a beautiful natural oasis ... ended up being a deserted depressed town with huge emission factories right next to neighborhoods.

Odd and sad

Go Caps

Ryan Smith (owner of team) and also owner of Utah Jazz is on a revitalizing project for downtown Salt Lake. Downtown isn’t nice. Gotta be in the burbs where it is really nice. They have real smog issues there as well through the valley. That said, i love it out there and it is a potential empty next location but not quite there yet.

But this is hockey… go Caps.

LOL I've spent a lot of time in the UT, ID, WY, & MT states...especially during the winter. They all have 'wart towns'. On the whole, they're all huge beautiful states with many Natl parks. But then you have places like Billings MT, SLC, Laramie WY, etc. It's like visiting Norfolk, Tysons, or Crystal City...soul-sucking geographical voids where IQs match the local MPH you reach during rush hour. haha

I'll stick with Point Break references

This says the Caps have played the 6th hardest schedule in the NHL to date. And it claims that they have the 5th easiest schedule of remaining games.

In contrast, Rangers have played the 2nd easiest schedule to date, and have the 9th hardest schedule of remaining games.

Some comparative data here just for Eastern Conf teams - #s shake out comparably, not identically.

Random fun fact for the day - the Caps lead the league in ES goals by 5. They've got 62, next best is the team they beat last night at 57. Their 4.31 GF/60 is almost half a goal clear of second-place Carolina who's at 3.85. Last year they were 28th with 2.36 GF/60. Absolutely insane turnaround.

First time I was in SLC pulled into a Walmart to use the bathroom, had never seen so many swastikas in a bathroom stall but hey I know religious freedom is big there

Favorite place I’ve been in Utah: Zion National Park. Absolutely stunning.

These Utes are no joke on home ice. Lots of speed and skill to slow down yet again.

Would be nice to pick up pts tonight as the schedule is murderous once we go back East. LGC!

Reminds me of the first time I used public bathrooms in NC…lots of folks in central NC weren’t aware the civil war had long since ended. Yikes!?

Zion is amazing, but my favorite is Canyonlands.
