What a great story this guy has been. Confidence growing. I believe it was last game Simpson said McMann watched a lot of Hyman footage and is trying to model his game in the same way

This guy can fly when get going and is physical. Never drafted out of college. Worked his way up from the ECHL to the Marlies and here we are. At 28 I think there is room for his value to grow even more.

Bobby McMann - Wikipedia

Just to add. Jarnkrok was useless in the playoffs last year and I think McMann is the type of player who will have an impact. It was unfortunate he couldn’t play last playoffs.

His and Knies' progression have been a huge boon to the LW depth this season, they have been struggling in that area for a few years now. Knock on wood McMann can stay healthy as that's been his biggest issue, but otherwise he is ideal for Berube hockey.

Ideally we'd be deep as a team where he would be 3LW, but he also gels well with both Nylander and Marner so maybe he should be a regular top 6 guy. Idk

He really has helped out the LW depth, especially with robertson's struggles. Knies has been fantastic, and he has been solid

6 goals in 18 games, all at the very favourable cap hit of 1.35m

The Darkest Timeline
Hes been great this year and seems to be getting better each game! I predicted him and Liljegren would both get into the lineup in game 2 after sitting out the opener and be good for us... 1 out of 2 ain't terrible.

Only issue is that him and Pacioretty have been the only depth players that have actually provided offense. If Robertson and Domi can get going and/or we have a Marlie come up and play well our scoring depth would be great when healthy... as of now, he's kinda stuck carrying the load outside the big 4 + Knies.
