It's sad that fans are resorted to clinging on "almost" chances and "could've happened" opportunities as positives. Keep your chin up, guys. The Kings need your cheerleading and positive vibes while they sulk after yet another loss.

Fun to see who gets a point first this year. Phaneuf or Thompson? And how many games will it take? Neither has even a secondary assist lol. Great product on the ice for sure.

Desjardins Had a great interview on CBC after hours. Stated that he try to keep things very similar to the way they were playing so we did not confuse anyone but he’s not going to change things up, especially the power play.

He also stated that he may sit the older players down a bit more and let the younger players play to keep the older players legs fresher throughout the game.

Put emphasis on how they could’ve came away with points in the last couple games if the PowerPlay clicked. Said they were getting close but still a ways away.

I like the fact that he indicated that he is going to switch things up

He didn't impress me per se, but he made a lot of smart little plays, sneaky passes. He's just not assertive enough yet, always deferential, but his confidence is slowly growing. Part of the learning curve.

True....trying to figure out who say for him to play,

Think he needs 3-4-5 games in a row to get it going, would be nice to see him and Kempe as a duo see how they work,

Toffoli looked much more engaged this game than he did to start the season...

Finding positive things in games are what losers have to do to feel better about themselves.

Seriously? Might wanna read up on winning teams and how they review things...

I know you said it just so you can get your dig in for the night before you go to bed and feel all good about yourself, but you are completely off the mark...

Right cause finding positives is the same as reviewing results. Let's hope they focus on the positives so they can keep doing the same things they are doing wrong.

And jesus christ you really think I need to dig at an pompus ass so I can feel good about myself? Just add it to the list of things you think you know but dont.

If it's a positive, why would they change it??

There's really not good about the game. Lost 1-0, overall sloppy play, forced passes, nobody's really stepping up.

Sure, there were some stretch passes, and Campbell played well. But otherwise there are many changes that need to be made. Blake needs to trim some fat.

There ya go

If it's a positive, it's not something they are doing wrong is it?

You said they would review the positives do they can continue to do what they are doing wrong.

I think you confused yourself

No I think you didnt see the sarcasm. You want to focus on the positives, when they really need to focus on what they are doing wrong.

Take your own advise and listen to interviews of players after a loss. It's always "focus on the good things" blah blah blah. It's a common cliche. When's the last time you ever heard someone say we need to focus on the positives after a win.

I'll say it again, losers always say to focus on positives....

Lol I see your taking it from a player perspective, ok that makes sense

Tanner Pearson seems to be regressing into Tobias Rieder. He used to have a high motor, wouldn't shy from contact, a decent shot, good IQ, obviously his skating and speed... I really hope you guys are right that him going MIA is because of his baby. If it is that, I don't understand why he simply wouldn't move to a location in his home out of range of his fussy baby to get sound sleep, concentrate, rest etc.

Others have commented that they feel that he's never been the same after his leg ('14-15), but he rebounded very nicely, in '16-17, 24 goals 20 assists @ 12.8 S%. Last year his S% plummeted to 8.3%, and he finished with 15+25. At least he was creating chances for others with his timely screens to kinda make up for a dip in production, even tho it didnt show up on the stat sheet. And he was still playing with that same motor and tenacity, more or less. His shot was really the only area of concern, but I had hoped it was just a low S% year for him. That he would rebound this year. I was excited. But now he's just a body. Floating through the games with an occasional burst of energy to remind us he's not an actor who wondered off the set of The Walking Dead.

He isn't playing with the same fire and tenacity and scrappiness he played with before. It's like Iafallo has sucked up all of his moxie. I thought this kid was gonna be a 50pt player by this age. I wasn't worried about Tanner two years ago. Now I am.

His value is so low, it probably would be better to keep him at this point and hope he pulls out of this nasty funk and stabilizes his value. We'd be lucky to get a mid 2nd for him now. Damnit

I guess if you really want to beat a dog when they are down and start a shitstorm of losing confidence you can focus on the bad....I wouldn't suggest it though

Agree and disagree.

I think he has more value around the league than we think....because other teams will be picturing him in their system with their coach etc

Honestly no again. As a fan I dont need to the positives. I have no input on the team on what they do. I watch the games, and I either like what I see or dont. Right now what I see is not acceptable. I dont need to look for positives when we've seen the same shit for the past few years now, only worse.

Did anyone really think a coaching change was going to change anything?

This is a terrible roster, not built to contend with the way the game is being played now, the lack of speed and skill is apparent with every game but Luc and Blake think they can still win playing this horrific style with this horrific roster.

They should have just thanked Drew for his services and moved him to an Eastern contender, it's painfully obvious now, his age is just going to make it to tough to rebuild around him (same with Kopitar), but they should have kept Kopitar because the return wouldn't be as good and they still need someone to put on billboards and commercials.

This feels like it's going to end up going the way of the mid 90's post Gretzky teams. They need to blow everything up because they aren't close.
