I’m pretty sure we will either get completely driven into the ground here or miraculously pull off an upset. The crazy part for me is I actually don’t care either way: after 30 years I’m starting to check out and this makes me sad

B's fan checking in to pre-congratulate you on the win today. This is the kind of game the B's always lose. They haven't looked great the last 2-3 games, but have pulled out W's that's due to run out

Even if Bruce doesn't want Burroughs on the left side, no reason to not get the fresh legs in there today over someone like Bear.

It's so frustrating being a fan of this team. I do badly want the team to beat the Bruins because f*** that team. But simultaneously, it's clear this group of players is dysfunctional, less than the sum of their parts, and mentally fragile - a win won't do anything if they keep up the with the same habits.

It's like when someone is hell bent on treating a symptom as opposed to the dysfunction - the long term effect is debilitating.

If a loss here is what triggers some big moves, I'm here for it. Just no idea what any of those moves would look like because the contract and cap situation is so bleak.

Hate the Bruins but I respect the hell out of that franchise. Constantly making the right moves to keep that core going. I for sure thought they would be f***ed after their cup loss in 2013. They have true leadership unlike our poverty franchise.

Anyways. We probably lose 5-1. I expect no changes after this game.

Good list, it doesn't matter who the Canucks use or what combination the results are the same, that is a player issue
It amazes me that a team run by a trio of Benning, Chiarelli and Sweeney managed to beat us in 2011.

You literally cannot find 3 dumber people running a hockey team if you even tried.
Benning didn't do anything in Boston watch the behind the scene's videos. He just sat there. He was NOT the head scout, the scouting department answered to Chiarelli. He didn't do much at all
Last game of the Bruce era.
Shouldn't be
nah I’m ok if we lose every game for the rest of the season… I want Bedard and a brighter future, winning games in a lost season with a group that’s going nowhere is nothing to cheer for.
Bedard or any of the 1rst and part of the 2nd round players, Bedard would be a bonus but 2 thru 40 are good too
I will never cheer for a tank. I am a Canucks fan.
7 years of finishing an average of 26th, one tank could have fixed that.
What is better the frustration of trying to win and failing or losing knowing the team is improving?
Probably be after the Sabres game..

Hello Mike Yeo.
Ya, Yeo was Alvin's hire and he was a head coach. IMO that kind of undermined Bruce, not only a lame duck coach but the replacement sitting on his shoulder.

Inspirational speech for BB.
Gentlemen, Listen up.
I'm here for rest of this year.
Chances for the playoffs are getting very slim

Some of you will not be here by the start of next year if you keep going the way you are so that being the case;

Consider the games you play going forward now as auditions for this and other teams
If you play hard enough contending teams will/may want to add you for their playoff push.

Play harder and get better teams phoning about you

Talk to your agents about if you want to be here but there will be changes regardless

Hard work does not need a system to see effort on the ice.

Show you care, show you have drive, earn your paycheck and work to get a better deal next contract

Find within yourself a reason to step it up, give your best every night, if you think you did then you will have success.

Play hard, play smart, play inspired, don't turn away from a check fight through it,

If you want to stay play harder,

if you want to move to another team, play even harder

Make yourself more valuable.

Boston should win this.
Marchand is always a pain in the arse.
Boston is a team with a winning culture that is why they can trade away good players an come back stronger.
They can have an older lineup because they don't have the travel the Canucks do.
Western teams or high travel teams have to be younger

Boston puts up at least 7.

I think Miller plays good and gets into a fight, Boston might want him but he is auditioning for an eastern team to want him.

This has been hugely anticlimactic, firing Benning and Green and seeing the state the Canucks are in now.
Might be another symptom that the world is going to shit, nothing makes sense anymore.

How does it not make sense? They fired one management team then brought in another one that all indications point to being a downgrade from what we had before. Its simple logic.
I was pretty optimistic this summer when I looked at the talent assembled but it’s become apparent that there are serious problems with the cast of characters here and Benning shoulders the responsibility for it. JR and Alvin need to dissect and reconstruct to make this their team, it’s a real mess.

Canucks have become the team that other teams take a mental vacation against this year, resting their starters and not even worth game prepping over.

I wouldn't be surprised if we scrape in some wins because of this, but we need the shellacking to get the changes we want.

I don’t even hate the Bruins anymore. I’m just jealous of them now(well everything except that Mitch Miller fiasco).

Their lineup is just rock solid. A quality player like Craig Smith is on their 4th line.

Two more games on this miserable road-trip....tomorrow afternoon in Beantown and then on the Buffalo.

I see both Rutherford and Allvin are traveling with the team. If the Canucks lose both (eminently likely) will they bring the hammer down?

If this team limps back to Vancouver after a 1-4 trip, who's going to buy tickets at Rogers Arena?

Answer: suckers

Bruins played a really clean road game yesterday where they barely got hit, and didn't overtax any of their star players in the win with a 3rd stringer in net. Now they're coming home where they are 8-0-0 and are playing their red hot starter.

Good luck!

This is not even hyperbole but I legit think Quinn Hughes is a top 10 most over rated player in the NHL.
