Bains catching strays in the PGT when he didn’t even play??

Goaltending didn’t bail them out for once. A couple soft ones for Lank in the third. Game was tightly contested through the first 40, no real need to panic, but they did get caved in in the third.

Pettersson looked great, which I guess is the lone positive in this game. Bring on Calgary on Tuesday.

there at home for awhile let guys rest up well they can sleep in their own beds, barring intent to injure we shold be able to get most of the team back

last year there was almost no injuries this year we seem to be back to the status quo

Crazy how oilers fan are allowed to react to messages in our forum but if any Canucks fan does the same they get insta banned 😂
if it bothers you report it to the mods and return the favour. it's an instaban on the oilers end because their fans run & cry to their mods almost immediately.

If Miller is playing hurt, sit his stubborn ass until he's better. Love the guy but when he can't go, his line is basically dead weight. If he isn't hurt, then get your head out of your ass.

The one caveat I'll give him is Tocchet needs to stop the revolving winger door. Pick someone; I don't care who, and f***ing leave them there. Miller played with DeBrusk, Garland, Hoglander, Suter and I swear someone else got moved up. That shit has to stop. It clearly doesn't work.

Juulsen needs to be put on a bus to Abbotsford. -3 with only 7 minutes of ice time is horrendous. This "trial by fire" approach they seem to want to take isn't working. It's hard to even fault Hughes or Hronek when they do have off games (Hughes wasn't great tonight) because they're having to drag this corpse of a defense squad through game after game.

Soucy needs to have a HBK moment and find god because my god he sucks right now.

I'm willing to give Aman a reluctant mulligan since he, apparently, hasn't played a single game since being sent down but another game like tonight and he can join Juulsen.

I left the hotel restaurant at 3-2, once I turned the game on in the room it was 7-2. Some of the lineup decisions made are so obviously stupid but what the hell did I miss?

Miller is having a rough start to the year. Not much unlike the horrendous start a few years ago but he's lucky that Pettersson has been taking all of the heat so far. He looks like a shell of the dominant force we saw for all of last season. Not skating, not hitting, not covering his checks, not good enough.
Injured player looks injured

Tocchet alluded to a defenseman is playing hurt, which is why Juulson played.

Miller was -3 and deserves to be pooped on tonight.
Bullsh**. He was out there working hard. It was a one goal game going into the 3rd and they ran out of gas. That explains the variance in the 3rd period. There is no other explanation for it.

Our team didn't suddenly become bad in the 3rd for no reason.

Honestly it was a lot of s*** calls and a lot of even s****ier bounces. My grandma could have scored those goals. Connor Brown with 2....nuff said. Nothing to learn from that

Aman, Juulsen, Desharnais are not NHL caliber players, put them all on waivers. Time for Allvin to get a true 2nd pairing defenseman.

Juulsen needs to be put on a bus to Abbotsford. -3 with only 7 minutes of ice time is horrendous. This "trial by fire" approach they seem to want to take isn't working.

juulsen is a whole other level of not an NHL calibre defender than desharnais

I think the Canuck front office knows that there are times when their blueline is going to cost them games and points.

But they're just biding their time.....building up a salary cap cushion, and when the time comes they'll address it.

It's a shame that Juulsen is the only other healthy D on the roster. Hopefully management finally decides to move on from him, he's largely regressed from that stretch of games last season where he actually looked decent.
