Great effort tonight. The Kings could have tied it just as easily as allowing the EN goal. The team never gives up, when the other guys score they come right back. Reminds me a lot of the Kings during their runs, and that's a great thing. This team is going to be a monster once Carter comes back.

Home PP is 5th in the league, road is 29th thanks to tonight.

We're also 23rd in PP opportunities, which is why Stevens' complaint meshes with mine about how the f*** have we not drawn more? Even tonight, Iafallo gets slewfooted at one end, Blues come down and score.

Wasn't able to catch the game tonight. Sad they didn't win, but from what it sounded like the effort was there. All in all a successful road trip.

Also will probably keep this as a monthly poll. Kopi was actually leading the poll for a while, but then Quick came in a stole the show. And honestly either one was deserving of it. Both have had arguably their best start to the season in a while.

It's interesting reading the opposition forums. There take away was that they controlled most of the game. I saw it as pretty even if not slightly more so by the kings. Each team had spurts all night long but the kings imo had the better chances, just couldn't finish.

As far as the pp goes I think this is the area where Carter being out hurts the most.

Speaking of Carter, if you would have said the kings would go 4 and 2 on a tough condensed long trip without 2 centers, I would have laughed in your face.

Even in the 2 losses they weren't bad, just couldn't buy a call in Toronto and bad luck tonight.

Thought they played well but you can't win them all. Forbort was pretty bad. Just can't commit such a horrendous turnover in the neutral zone when Schwartz and Tarasenko are on the ice.

Laich is better than Andreoff, which says a lot about Andreoff. His zero goals last season is much more indicative of his play than the handful he scored the year prior. The latter was the fluke and not the former. I think the 4th line with Dowd/Amadio could actually generate some points if they had someone else on that line other than AA.

I think its time to look at maybe another call up from the ahl. I believe we still have a roster spot open. The only real question is who is ready for a shot Mersch? Brodzinski? or some one else ? Maybe one of the reign fans could chime in.

I have not checked on his status, but Mersch left the game early in one of the weekend games.

No one is more "ready" than Mersch or Brodzinski but I'd rather have John Zeiler out there than Andreoff.

The only player that I would consider replacing right now is AA, but maybe the team wants his element in the lineup? I would try Mersch there, he certainly wouldn't do worse.

I wonder what happens when Gaborik, Carter, and Clifford come back. Amadio will go down I'm thinking, but no way do Iafallo, Kempe, MacDermid, or Fantenberg get risked on waivers.

It's probably down to Dowd or AA, and I think Dowd has a lot more redeeming qualities.

A lot could happen before then and we'll probably have other injuries, but just spitballing.

I don't think any of the players u mentioned have to clear waivers I know MacDermid doesn't for a fact as rosen said so a few days before the opening of the season. Fatenberg is on a two way contract so no waivers there.

I haven't looked but two way contracts mean nothing towards wavers, common misconception. All a two way contract does is pay different rates at the different levels.
