Not great when your trustworthiness alternative up front is one Jakub Vrana. Likely won't be long until Miro gets a shot if the third line can't get their act together. Not like any of those guys are new and Milano/Lapierre got their spots on benefit of the doubt. That can't last very long, esp. if the team scuffles out of the gate. Subtracting any capable forward alternative didn't make much sense given how those two played in the pre-season and generally how they figured to struggle 5v5...

I know it's Game 1 of the season, but Lindgren was not so sharp during preseason. Thompson clearly outplayed him. It would not shock me at all if LT steels the #1 job from Lindgren before the quarter mark.

I was skeptical on Lapierre and Milano making the team given their pre season and now it seems that observation was correct. Sigh.

IMO, the 3rd line needs a little experience on that line. Milano is complimentary goal scorer, Protas will come a long, but HL is still wet behind the ears.

I think some ppl were inflating HL too much. CMM is more well rounded of a player. HL hasn't looked good in the corners/in tight.
