Silovs is the new spencer martin

Ep no show once again

What a colossal mistake signing quantity mediocre players over difference makers like zads

If it wasn't for lanks this team would be firmly in dead last in the standings

Alvin needs to make a trade

This almost couldn't have gone worse for silovs but I wonder how he would have played with some run support. Maybe with a semi competent powerplay

Whelp, they're finding ways to out-do themselves right now.

Demko getting back and slowly splitting starts with Lankinen can't come soon enough. Silovs is not an NHL goaltender and badly needs some time in the AHL to hopefully gain any sort of confidence back.

The Canucks just make it so easy for their opponent off the rush and in their zone. Devil's looked like they felt bad after scoring their sixth goal. The defense is just a hot mess from top to bottom and there are no quick fixes.

Blueger line is really the only group that showed up once again.

For all the hate EP is getting at the moment (most of it deserved), Miller has had a piss poor start to the season. So many forced passes and moments that make you shake your head.

The team is tough to watch right now. Some very winnable games coming up, hopefully they can sort their shit out.

Was not long ago I was thinking about paint these five guys with the orca's theme and put Hughes Pete Boeser Miller and Demko's numbers on them.

On that note...whatever these little dudes are...why Blue and Red, not Blue and Green? Or Black and Spaghetti colour? Are you a Messier stan?

That was brutal. Worst performance of the Tocchet era. Worst loss on home ice in 7 years.

Myers set the tone with a braindead play and it was all downhill from there.

Could have got themselves back into the game with three 1st period PPs when it was only 1-0 but the PP was absolutely horrible and killed all momentum. Something there needs to change, starting with taking Pettersson off PP1.

Players who didn't suck : the Heinen-Blueger-Sherwood line. Suter. Sprong. Hughes-Hronek. That is all. Garland gets credit for the fight and trying to spark something but he was pretty awful outside of that, too.

Pettersson had more energy in this game ... but used it trying to throw a bunch of awkward back-into-a-guy hits instead of skating hard with the puck. Better than nothing? But the bar is getting so low.

Myers was f***ing awful. If his knee hurts he needs to sit for a game or two.

Brannstrom had a really rough game, was in bad positions and on the wrong side of the play a lot. Coaching staff won't like this one.

Hoglander just had zero zip after being called out a bit by Tocchet after the last game, which was disappointing.

Top 2 lines were all total ass. Pettersson might have been the best of the bunch and he had a 3/10 performance.

Silovs ... blech. Just couldn't make a save. Looked awkward all night. Don't see how you can trust him to get further starts.

The most disappointing thing wasn't even the final score or just how badly they got caved in, it was how completely uninterested most of the team looked as they went down.

Probably the worst home ice performance since Alvin was hired. If I paid for tickets I'd be irate - at least make it look like you're trying. The sad thing about this is the Devils barely put any effort in either, but the Canucks looked like an AHL team out there.

Silovs - Hasn't been NHL calibre this year. If Demko is back in 2-3 weeks, I don't think you can reasonably start Silovs in another game unless you want to straight up give it away. Has to be competing with Georgiev for worst GSAA on a per game basis.

Petterson - Can't help but laugh at this point. It literally looks like a Space Jam movie where one of the Monstars came and took all his playing ability. Can't even handle a pass on the powerplay anymore. Truly at a loss for words on this one, don't think I've ever seen a 100 point centerman at this age completely fall apart this hard.

Soucy/Myers - This can't continue, it's just sad to watch at this point.

Powerplay - Mindset problem moreso than structural. Everyone stands around and refuses to move their feet. Just constrast it to every opponent we've played lately, and look at the difference. Everyone else plays downhill and attacks, our guys are constantly retreating & losing puck battles on the wall.

Blueger line - Only good thing about today, along with the top pairing at even strength.

Either this is a galvanizing moment for the team, or they fall apart even more. Saw some comments in the GDT about Tocchet - highly doubt this is a coaching issue, this core has been through a bunch of coaches now, it's on the players to get their shit together.

Meh. Onto the next one.

I think we've pretty much found out that Silovs isn't an NHL goalie. At least Pettersson was moving his feet more tonight, and the Blueger/Sherwood combo continued their strong play.
