Makes sense if you’re going to take a 3 month vacation to go to miami and stay on the east coast

Defense is ok without injury, but when there 5+ lines NHL forwards, there are 5 real NHL defenders and few borderline cases.
Yup, we already saw what happened to Florida's defense when Ekblad was injured. I really don't think chasing Giroux is a wise move for Zito, but hopefully I'm proven wrong.

There isn't that much cap space. Maybe it's possible to add Giroux and defender, but it's not easy.
ehh. get philly to retain 50%, pay a 5th round pick to get a 3rd team to retain another 50% and then trade a Vatrano or Acciari for a pick to create even more space. It's not that hard.

Wouldn't surprise me if this was a bit of a rumor to get the offers turning a bit. I highly doubt Giroux is going to turn down the team if they receive a good offer from a club. The guy has been a true professional for the Flyers and I can't see him bailing on them now when it would only come down to a few months of play if he wanted to re-sign in Philly.

Giroux might want to come to Florida but florida doesnt need him at all.

They need a dman or actual depth forwards who can play a 200 feet game.
They are already a powerhouse for scoring adding Giroux is useless.

Rumours have had Florida looking into Giroux
