Lag and Benoit have been decent and are probably as good as you will get for 8 and 9 on depth charts

This sucks. Gio isn't as great as he was but he still had a pulse out on the ice and still blocks shots and gives it his all.

So imagine Nylander for Karlsson. How insane would this fan base be going right now.

Acquiring Karlsson was a bad idea. Acquiring Karlsson for Nylander or Marner is insanity.

He's also dog shit defensively, like Gardiner level bad defensively. We have NO need for a guy like EK. We need a guy like Tanev. A big physical D man and knows how to defend.

I like the odds of getting value out of his 33-37 years at 10mil more than I like the odds of getting value out of Marner’s 29-37 years at what 12+? Would be easier to stomach if we had bad salary to dump like Pitts did but for me the wake-up call to the core of moving Marner and finally having a tier-1 PP threat on the backend would be worth the gamble.

The thing with Marner is you can let him walk or sign him to a 4 or 5 year deal like they did Matty.

Lagesson has been absolutely fantastic and he needs to be stapled to our bottom pairing for the next few seasons.

He plays mistake free hockey and i never notice him and for a player of his Ilk that's the best compliment we can give him.
