Holy immature overreaction batman

Yeah. I will take a break from the boards
People have been saying that for three weeks now. I was one of them 2-3 weeks ago.

But things continue to be bad. And I’m firmly turning to the dark side.

For what it’s worth, I think we’ll still get in the playoffs, but it’s not a lock. We have to turn it around immediately.

Optimistic me believes they will come out of this and return to form. I think they find a way to get 2 points tomorrow. Then there’s plenty of rest with the next games on Wednesday and Saturday which I believe is much needed. Sickness excuses should be out the window.

A dip is in play given the number of games played in a short window with long travel and now a virus is expected. But today was just unacceptable. If they simply manage the f***ing puck better and smart they grind out a win in all likelihood.

I don’t think it is panic yet. After tomorrow they play 1 games between Sunday and next Saturday. There is the time to rest and get the bug through everyone and recharge. If they are still dropping points then I will worry.

Having said that a message needs to be sent to a certain leader on the team that he needs to be more situationally aware and can’t be dancing at the blue line any more.

Look beyond the losses and the record. Look at the decision making, the plays they choose to make or not make. This is bush-league shit, same trash they did under Lindy. Our star player is on year six and routinely does pee wee garbage like he's playing with his friends for beers. Our best offensive guys have elite skill but Zharkov-like scoring instincts...they get the puck into scoring areas and then pass it off to teammates in less ideal positions. We have a forward making $9 million to put up the same production as the guy we traded away for him who makes f***ing peanuts. Our bottom six is literally useless, providing absolutely nothing. In the D zone they throw the puck away for no reason half the time, the other half it's them curling back because they apparently aren't capable of handling it any other way even when they are under pressure and the safer choice is obvious. We have a wildly slow D-man also making $9 million who can't be trusted to not give up multiple odd-man rushes against per game. On and on and on there are glaring examples of just utter mediocrity.

This is just horseshit...we haven't had a consistently good team for 12 f***ing years...when is enough enough?

Offense is struggling because Fitz was so worried with being more physical defensively (Dillon, Kovacevic, Pesce, Siegs) that he completely stifled any offensive threat from the back.

Nemec or Casey would go a long way in sparking the offense.

That defense does not enable our forwards in the slightest.

Jack should get the dunce cap from Jake Allen for this one.

His stupid play after our best shift of the game that should have at the very least resulted in the end of the shift still tied at 1-1 resulted in a breakaway and a penalty, followed by no clears and a PP goal.

He deserves to take the steamiest of dumps from me that I usually reserve for a goalie.

The Flyers had NOTHING going and if not for a power play, the Flyers were almost definitely not winning this game in regulation.

So there’s another point lost to another humpty team.

I could be wrong but I feel like the lack of bottom-6 help is causing our top-6 to overplay their hand and try to force things a bit. The sickness running through the locker room doesnt help either!

The team was at its best when the bottom-6 was helping out; lets hope Fitzgerald can figure that out for us (and hopefully soon!)

Of course this team will make the playoffs. I'm not worried about that at all. They have a solid group.

But the way this team has played going on a month now is unacceptable and doesn't inspire confidence whatsoever.

The reason most are pissed is because we know they're better than this. They have the elements to be a good team and they've lost their game heavily since the break.

Now, can they get out of it? Yeah, and they most likely will. But play like this shouldn't just be accepted.

Yeah Jack has been back to a lot of old bad habits since the break. He was doing so many little things right when the boys were playing lock down all around good hockey prior to the break. Was an inexcusable play in a tie game in the 3rd when you’re finally turning the tide and pressuring.

At what point does it not become stupid? Team hardly has any wins since the break. Team flushes points (to bad teams like this) late in regulation. Team can’t hardly win once it gets to overtime. Team can’t hardly win at all.

I’m 55% sure we make it.

Lose again tomorrow in regulation and that drops to 45%.

The math is extremely against us missing the playoffs. It would take a pretty epic season long collapse.

Missed this one. Skiing with the family. 9th time during this stretch we have been tied at some point during the 3rd. 7th time we lost.

Yuck.

I'm not happy with their play at all but you guys we're in rare form today haha. Jack has been very annoying as of late. I'd rather get this rough patch out of their system now than have to pull out of a nosedive down the stretch.

Too bad be threw away a bunch of great performances by Markstrom, then again if wasn't really good this could have been a really bad stretch.

Allen was fine but holy crap it's a Goals for Corey situation with him.

it’s not the back end, it’s the terrible bottom 6 that gives no relief to the top 6.

this is exactly the kind of game that you want the bottom 6 to grind out a dirty goal or two. how many games this season have we gotten more than 1 goal from the bottom 6 in a game?

even controlling corsi and xgf they’re not a good 5v5 team offensively top to bottom

Jack deserves an extremely nasty rant from me that I’m only capable of giving to a goalie.

Absolutely backbreaking play by him to lose us the game.

Yeah, we need to be able to clear the puck on the PK. That’s been a problem lately.

But as BAD as we were, and we were uber BAD, the Flyers looked like their usual humpty trash selves and they were NOT winning this game in regulation on a 5 on 5 goal. We probably weren’t either, but it would have went to OT.

Jack gets the turd dunce cap for this one.
