German Football 2024 2025

Rose can't have much time left. Might make sense to sack him now and try to make some player personnel changes in January.

Well, Rose lasted longer than I thought, but losing to Gladbach and falling behind them in the table was the last straw. Wonder how much say Klopp will have when choosing the successor, a temp at first and then more permanent one in the summer?

Really brutal loss for Freiburg that probably is going to end their European aspirations. They always faceplant against BVB, who's up next, and still have Leverkusen, Frankfurt, and Gladbach to go.

Last Champions League spot going to be really interesting though, as nearly all the teams have 3-4 matches left against teams still in the mix (or against the top 3).

Bielefeld trying to finish what Saarbrücken started last year. 2-1 up with 20 minutes to go. Can't say it isn't a deserved lead either.

And they do hold on.

What is going on with Schalke lately? Are they still in financial hell and look destined to years in the wilderness or is there optimism on the horizon?

Chabot & Jeltsch with some huge tackles before Woltemade almost tees up the 2-0.

And there it is, Woltemade scores the 2-0 himself after Chabot steps up to take the ball away from Leipzig.

Pretty grim. Their academy still produces some talents and I think their debt situation is a lot better, but they're closer to the relegation playoff spot in BuLi2 than to the promotion playoff spot.

Feels like them and Hertha are going to be stuck for a good while. BL2 is a rough place to land if you don't manage to yo-yo right back up.

Tough game for Bayern tonight, away at Augsburg who haven't lost in 11 games, and who afaik has the best defense in the 5 big leagues.

Hummels also announced today he's calling it a career this summer. He's been awful for Roma to be fair, should have stayed in the Buli.

Sane brings the ball into box and passes to Musiala, who is surrounded by five opponents, but shrughs off couple of challenges and scores few minutes before half-time.

Kane dives to get Ausburg player sent off. There was no contact and he got the ball. No VAR check because it was 2nd yellow.

Then Kane heads in from the ensuing free kick situation.
