I mean, it’s not thread worthy but, yes, Rangers fans just grew tired of him being a melodramatic malcontent. Just seems like the type to always blame someone else. Talented, but it seems like he’s a little bit of a headcase. Probably doesn’t matter if you’re winning games and he’s playing well, but when he isn’t playing well, it becomes old.

Not surprising HF misses the forrest for the trees yet again. No it's not some violent 'slash', that's not the point.

But it's a goalie showing up a rookie player trying to find his way in the NHL. Plus I don't see much wrong in what the defenseman did, he was boxing out it front and got caught in a tough situation when the seas parted for Morrisey to just walk in. Where was that COL winger?

Georgiev is an inconsistent douche

There's a reason other Ranger players didn't even follow him on Instagram, yet Tony DeAngelo was still attending their weddings after he was off the team. I don't get the people acting like this is no big deal, it may not have been likely to cause injury but it's still pretty rare to see players attacking their teammates like that. Especially considering he's also punched a teammate in the face before. This is the same guy who would pout on the bench and just skate by Shesterkin at the end of games when everyone else is giving hugs or head taps, and who in an interview when asked about how great things are going for the Rangers when they were the hottest team in the league and he responded things aren't going too well because he's not playing enough.

Worst part is probably the fact that the guy he's slashing over a bad screen, is literally a rookie who's played a whopping 3 NHL games in his career. Georgiev is a POS.

You know there's always the possibility that Georgiev has always been an asshole and D'Angelo deserves to be punched every day.

That being said, what an overreaction.

Let's just say that the text made me expect something different.

Goalies tap players like that all the time, usually it means "good job" or "don't worry"

Was a poor look considering a rookie defenseman and all, but he apologized.
There were about 3 star players that actually deserved slashes to the shin pads in that game, so I'm surprised this tap was all we saw
