This is bad for the Habs, Montembeault is about to break out.
Like I said, IDGAF, I want to tank and want picks for this year and next year

Why not wait and then trade him for a significantly bigger haul?Like I said, IDGAF, I want to tank and want picks for this year and next year
Everyone on the Avs board harped on that with Kuemper but now they are seeing that it’s a total LIE.I was told by Avs fans that goalies were just products of the team?

Lyon for a 2nd?
Doesn’t have that value I imagine and isn’t he hurt?
The Avs sending him on waivers is not happening.Goes on waivers or gets traded to San Jose or Anaheim if Colorado tries getting on of their goaltenders. Or to a team with a really good goalie coach to spark his confidence back.
Pft, Sievegievs contract is only for this year.Straight swap for Jarry.
I would think that a deadline deal with sweetener going the other way to make it work. Since he is UFA after this year, not totally difficult to move off of.
Blackwood for Georgiev plus sweetener (2nd 2025 or possibly 1st 2026)?
Vladar?
I would say Gibson but I don't see Anaheim retaining multiple years on him. Avs would have to send Georgiev back, so not impossible.
Every last one of em’Just looked up his stats, yikes. I remember when we dealt him to Colorado and all of their fans were mocking us saying that Georgiev is a true #1 G (tbf he had some real good stats in the beginning).
You gotta dump him, don't make him your backup G, unless you want the locker room to become toxic AF.
Nobody takes him, he continues to suck, and most likely signs a sub-million dollar contract in the summer after he walks to UFA.
Not exactly rocket appliances.
If SJS keeps playing too well maybe they take him on for free or at least give a heavily discounted Georgiev/Blackwood swap?
1st, 3rd, georgiev, kovalenko for gibson.
Assuming the Avs go get another goalie:
Outside of a stunning turnaround, he won't be on the Avs in 2025-26
- He'll be a toss in on the trade (Avs won't pay much of anything extra to dump him though)
- He'll ride out the year as a #3 or AHL #1
- He'll be traded separately
He is not moving, Bednar is in love with him
Georgiev and a 2nd for Mrazek
I would hate to see it as an Oilers fan, but I see it as a definite way out for SJ. The big issue is that he and the Sharks have started well. There really isn't a big enough win for the Sharks.

Any winners?
