George Foreman dead at 76

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

I love that he got crazy rich off of putting his name on that grill. It was an endorsement that also felt extremely genuine, as I could imagine him loving the product. I owned one.

We haven't even mentioned that Foreman was the oldest International Boxing Federation heavyweight champion, ever. He was over 46 when he relinquished it. The Gordie Howe of boxing!

It's weird how Foreman was (in the early-70s) the badass, hard, tough, mean Black man of boxing... and then after the Grill took off (and he had dabbled in Born Again ministry), he changed his image into the friendly, lovable salesman everyone loved. He even hosted Saturday Night Live in December 1994 (albeit it was a trainwreck episode, with Foreman stumbling over several of his lines)!

I use the phrase "Down goes Fraser" at least once a month. Great fighter. That period in time was the best in boxing history. Ali, Foreman, Fraser, Norton....

RIP.

I more happy that Hulk Hogan apparently missed out on the chance to get his name on the grill
