You can always gift those game keys to other people.

I've played around with the idea of doing a twitch/youtube game bundle review channel. I actually have a pretty good plan (I think at least) on how I'd start out with it. It just is more of a timesink than I want to commit to right now.
You want me to gift a game key? What if I lose my disks and get locked out of my GOG account at the same time? I'll need those Steam keys! :sarcasm:
I didn't actually know you could gift them. I could do that, if I make the purchase.

I have a bunch of game keys I haven't opened on the bundle sites.

Indiegala runs specials (Happy Hour maybe) on their bundles where you get a second bundle free so you can gift it to people. There is the copy/paste the (unused) key and send that to someone way of doing things too.

Do we have any fans of Counter Strike 2/Valorant or Deadlock on the boards here? I've been playing CS since 2000, but I'm still dog water at it compared to most. If anyone ever wants to play a game let me know.

Lollipop Chainsaw got re-released with a graphics upgrade. The wife loved this game on the ps3. She saw it was out and asked me to take her to the game store to buy it. It's only the 2nd time in the 16 years we've been together that she's done that for a video game.

The $45 price tag is steep (imo). I suggest rent/barrow from someone before buying. It's not a long game at all. The soundtrack is one of the best I've ever heard (I'm guessing that is part of the reason for the high price). Not quite Tony Hawk level, but no game comes close to that.

I was doing so good not buying games when I have so many that I need to finish... but broke down last night and bought Warhammer 40k Space Marine 2 and Black Myth Wukong last night.

I was doing goon not buying games also. Then Lollipop Chainsaw was re-released (I was clueless about that) and Frostpunk 2 releases tomorrow.

I've talked myself out of buying Frostpunk 2. This will probably last until I login to Steam and see it.

Black Myth Wukong is... something.

I love that it's based on a classic Chinese story, feels like this is new territory in games. It's really gorgeous (weird they didn't give out PS5 review copies pre release, it runs perfect now). The bestiary is easily the best I've ever seen. Music is fantastic. Enemy design is great. But I have zero idea what I'm doing, where I'm going, why im doing anything. Constantly get turned around and lost. It presents itself like an open world a la Elden Ring, but there are hidden walls at every turn (even if I had a mini map to show where I can't go would be helpful). And it seems a bit of a button masher.

We'll see how it progresses.

Sounds just like me IRL.

I got Star Wars Outlaws from the library. I'm so glad I didn't shell out $60 for this game.

It's just an okay game. Nothing about it is really bad, but nothing about it really good either.

Any one play Guild Wars 2? Oddly enough, I never played it at launch. I beta'd and played GW1. Enjoying it since there is no power creep rush...pretty chill...and always people to do a variety of things.

The early Assassin's Creed games were awesome. The ones from the past 10 years, not so much. (RE: Ubisoft). The Far Cry games are all... fine... but I did like the description above that there's nothing great or terrible about them.

Also, anyone get the new Zelda game? Any good?

The original Far Cry game was pretty spectacular at the time, especially visually. They also released Beyond Good and Evil, Splinter Cell, Prince of Persia, and XIII around then. I think that was really their peak.

Once they did Assassin's Creed it was all downhill. I played that game a good amount, and though it was different and innovative, it wasn't particularly good, something I would say about most of their games since. I think that game's open world really destroyed their studio, they just got lazy after that and kept copying it.

I'd try GW2 again.

The wife killed it for me when I played it years ago. We just do not video game well together.

I think its worth giving a try again - core game is free and you can get plenty out of that. I am not much of a guild or group player (I know I know, its "Guild Wars") but the fact I can just join up with people for whatever content whenever I want, drop out when needed, it's good.
