Daniel Kelly is getting KO
Theodorou and Northcutt both have that ''pretty boy heel'' vibe that makes you want to see them get beat up . It used to be like that for me with Luke Rockhold but when his hairline went south I finally started to respect the guy
He does like to use his kicks to stay outside and avoid taking damage. I have to admit staying away from Dan's clinch was probably a smart move though, he was getting killed the few times Kelly managed to get his hands on him. With Northcutt, it's mostly because UFC has marketing hopes behind him (and nothing makes people happier a promotion's own hype train getting derailed).
With Theodorou, his style is just goddamn awful to watch. I effing hate his striking so much. Spam kicks that ZERO intent to do damage for the sole sake of avoiding engaging in the pocket. I was literally thinking how one punch of Judo Dan was worth more than 10 of those crappy kicks of Theodorou. He's all flash and garbage fundamentals.
Coach: UFC Should Pay Nate Diaz $15 Million to Fight Tyron Woodley
Good luck with that Nate !
15 million bucks would buy him a ton of pot though, like, litterally a tonHe's addicted to the non bum life.
Things would be a lot more simple if he could make 170, he'll always be at a big disadvantage at middleweight. He'd have a chance against pretty much everybody at WW, including Woodley. What a finish. If he could get his **** together, Kelvin could really fly through the WW division.
Say what you will about Gastelum but the guy has some of the fastest hands in the whole sport.
I could see him transition to a TV role soon, although his accent might make it a bit difficult ( TV execs can be very picky about stuff like that) . All told he's had himself a solid career, you could put him in the same category as guys like Matt Hughes and Chuck Liddell, i.e UFC lifers who stayed loyal to the company and helped build it to what it is today. He deserves a lot of credit for how big MMA got in England too.I was up late working and had this on in the background. Looked like a decent card! I went to bed before the main event, though. When I woke up and saw this, I wasn't surprised... expected, really. Gastelum has some devastating hands and Bisping is very hittable. And Bisping just came off a beating (probably shouldn't have been fighting this quickly).
Bisping had a good career, though. He managed to maximize his talent and take advantage of the opportunities given to him. He has a gift for gab and a charisma about him. Now would be a good time to segue into that part of his career, I think.
That was a bad matchup. Kovalev's adversary should not have been there. That WASN'T a world championship fight. A disgrace.

You can absolutely make the case that the guy shouldn't have been allowed to fight that quickly, especially against a young power puncher like Gastelum. A lot of people have been indignant about it, including Joe Rogan(Joe Rogan criticizes Michael Bisping's 'crazy' turnaround: 'It just does not make sense') . I can only hope he was paid extra well to do it.Bisping had no business getting back into a fight this quickly. It was seriously stupid. Not sure what he was trying to prove and it's just silly the UFC actually even asked or considered him.
If there ever was a way for them to show how little they truly care about the health of their fighters, this was it.
