Has Xavier Ouellet ever mentioned that he might consider the France NT? Is he eligible? He's listed as French under NHL.com instead of Canadian. Is Stephane Da Costa available to join?

He already suited up for Canada so he will have to return to France for four years to play for them. And Da Costa is still with Binghamton in the AHL play-offs but they could be eliminated tonight.

Where is Sasha Treille?

Injured.

This season, he's been number 3 in term of pure quality of play IMO, Quemener has been better. I still see Hardy as the back-up behind Huer for the WC.

Agreed. Quemener has been strong this season, but Hardy has a little bit more experience (with his Russia win last season). Quemener was mostly a #3 in NT these past seasons. For example, he was in Slovakia in '11 but didn't play.

Hardy was pretty shaky in the exhibition game vs. Latvia, IIRC. Conceded 6 goals, didn't look very good.

France won yesterday vs Kazakhstan 3-1.
Goals by PE Bellemare, Ritz and Auvitu.

2 players will join the team soon :
D Benjamin Dieudé-Fauvel (Quad City, CHL)
C Stéphane Da Costa (Binghampton, AHL)

Probably means Baazi in defense and a forward will be cut.

No Hecquefeuille?

Even without Hecquefeuille and S. Treille, I think this team is good enough to stay in Elite Division. The crucial game will be against Italy.

Denmark is looking forward to the France game with great anticipation :)

Da Costa, you have not been forgotten.

One of the more intense friendlies I have ever watched.
