He is THAT good?Yah Detroit is not taking Stutzle first overall, but it would hardly be a surprise if we took him 2nd overall.

I don't know where is the best place to put this, so I am just going to drop this here. Anthony Mantha is a damn monster and has the potential to be one of top players in the league when paired with the right linemates. Just need the bog man to continue to realize his abilities and stay healthy.
Him hurting himself every season lowers his contract. Hasn’t broke 50 points yetI would listen to offers for him before he becomes our newest bad contract...
from MLive, Ansar Khan 5-13. If we can get Brodie for 2-3 yrs @ $4.9M? (currently making $4.65M) that'd be a great deal. I'd like to keep it under $5M for his caliber/tier (where DDK should be ~$4.3M value, that's not just my opinion, I read another article on DeKeyser's value). He'll likely get more term & $, but it's interesting that Khan would speculate 2 yrs for him. Gustaffson only has 1 good season & Hamonic was hurt, so their values are lower than TJ. Also Khan mentions Lindstrom likely starting in GR.

As a Florida resident, is a CGY winter much colder than DET?This is second hand knowledge so take it with a grain of salt. TJ Brodie grew up in my hometown of Chathan and I work at the same company as his older sister. TJ grew up a Wings fan but he loves playing for Calgary but there is a big problem. His wife who also is from my hometown of Chatham has MS. She has a very hard time with the winters in Calgary. My chiropractor who treats them when they are home to visit family and friends believes they he will sign somewhere warm where the winters are less hard on his wife.
Again all of this are things I have heard, it does not make it fact or even credible it's just interesting hersay.
I personally would love to sign him in Detroit but I do not think it will happen.

There's plenty warmer places than Detroit, but you can't get closer to Chatham. Might they sign him (TJ Brodie) as a veteran to help usher in Seider? Interesting but I think he's going to want lots of term and money. That's not a tank move, either.Yah it is much colder. They get temperatures of minus 20-30 Celcius on a regular basis in Calgary.
So we both agree he isn't worth his asking price?Him hurting himself every season lowers his contract. Hasn’t broke 50 points yet
What’s his asking price? So we both agree he isn't worth his asking price?

*Calgary weather is all over the place. Chinook winds make it randomly 20c in the middle of the winter. Conversely they'll get snow in.... I don't know, August it seems like.
I think it is the point IF this conversation is about if he wants to come to Detroit. Things would be easier at home. They won't choose Detroit because it's 5 to 10 degrees Fahrenheit "warmer". If proximity to Chatham is not a factor, then enjoy Scottsdale. I agree.Oh I am aware Detroit is closest to Chatham but that isn't the point. He wants to get somewhere warm where it will be easier on his wife.
How credible is that source? (Russian outlet Sport-Express)
I'd give him 10 years 6.5 milI am assuming north of 6.5M per.
We would still own his NHL rights no?That would be kind of a bummer, I liked him in the little time we got to see him.

Good news. I hope we can get him signed
