Just an FYI, here in Texas we have no state taxes but we have some of the highest property taxes.
That’s the way it is with most states that have no income, or sales tax. Though property taxes are the purview of the municipality, and can be high, low, and anywhere in between, depending on the specific town that you live in, and how much they invest in schools, infrastructure, and services.

So, weather that is cold enough to kills of life forms is a good thing?

Again, bikinis, and thongs, though I must admit that those can be both good, and bad, depending. 82 yo overweight man in a thong… bad. 28 yo Zumba instructor in a thong….good.

I’ve spent all of my life in places with heavy winter, except for a few years in the PAC NW. It gets…old. I would be fine with 3 months of winter. 5-6…. Enough, already.
I wouldn't put it in terms of good vs bad, but more to my liking than brown recluses and water moccasins. Winter's the enemy, but it's a familiar one.

Not a lot to very little

Are there specific things about it or just..."reasons"?
Ugly, filthy, weather, protect overly wealthy, take from everyone else, just an overall cess pit. Can’t be underwater soon enough.

If you’re into that SE type of scenery, Hilton Head/Savannah has all of that and actually is mindful of preserving it.

Son was out ocean fishing in the Keys, and texted that he caught a Giant Moray- unintentionally, of course. Details to come on how you unhook one of those freaking things. Channel locks? Sure as hell would want something with long handles. Ugly, and vicious looking things.

Rubber Gloves?

Rubber Gloves?

Dont' they produce electricity? Metal gloves seem like a bad choice to combat that lol

EDIT: Nope that's specifically electric eels. Who would have guess that...

Update;

Apparently the Moray never made it onto the boat. As son was bringing it alongside, he yelled for the fishing guide, who came over, and made a face as if it was a problem he really didn't want to deal with. During all that, this 6' long thing chewed threw the line and escaped, to everyone's relief.

The wife just told me gloves and a pair of pliers to unhook it.

I have a pair of cheap harbor freight long neck pliers bent nose 90 degree pliers in my tackle box. Never used them on a fish, but they've gotten a lot of use for getting the line out of the low hanging branches the kid likes to cast into.

The Last Leg: Hockey Drinking Game

This looks like it could be fun.

  • Wow

I can see a lot of passing out while playing this... would be lucky to avoid alcohol poisoning actually...

It's meant for beer, not booze. At best you'd get a 6-pack per person during the span of a game if you took normal size drinks of your beer. It could be a good intro to hockey terms game for people new to the game.

Winter is awesome.
Just a little shorter that’s all.
